Hey Captain Scrotalchin - I was addressing THAT statement when I made mine. Don't go and take it out of context and apply it to whatever half-read misunderstood opinion you formed in your massive waternoggin.

I don't work for SOE - but that statement DIRECTLY implied that if I trash them I lose money and that was what I addressed. You've been taking your pokes at me and jumping at the leash to do more, and I'm cool with that.

The issue with a few people is that those of supposedly the "in crowd" who get invited to SOE functions and get placed in super elite programs almost always show a pro-SOE bias in order to keep their free vacations coming and the feeling that they are special by having a big company like SOE include them in anything.

I myself admire a heck of a lot more someone like LFG who wasn't afraid of losing all the perks by doing what he thought was right and speaking his mind.

I say that if this situation happened to you, your reaction would be similar-but I don't think that will ever happen as your pair shriveled a long time ago an you happily ride the SOE pole.

You're missing the point Coyote. We all know they fly you to San Diego, or wherever. They put you in nice hotels, and then wine and dine you. We know they give you, or at least your co-workers subscriptions to their games. This is why your opinion isn't valid. Your opinion is based on the personal encounters you've had with them, and the favors and benefits that reporting on this game gives you. It is in no way unbiased. Opinions, whether favorable or not, that are unbiased, and not bought are vaild. You'll rarely see me start shit with someone who loves SOE's assraping incompetence if they aren't a bought tool of the coporation. You, however, are.

I have no doubt in my mind that there are some nice guys that work for SOE. They're just incompetent.

Why is it hard for you to understand that in a game that has a miniscule percentage of subs that other MMOs has there is no reason that the game is in a broken state. The itemization, mob encounters, scripts, lag, and ridiculous fluff crap in this game has rendered it all but unplayable. Most of us still do play, if for nothing else, because we love this game, and what it should have, and still could be. And for the most part, the general tone here is that we'd LOVE for us all to get along with SOE. Just asking the opinions of Snark, Calaglin, and many of the others here would be the largest step in the right direction this company has taken in years.

I play the game because I like it. The game, in general, is fun.

When I talk about SOE, I strictly talk about what they do for the game. I don't fucking care if Gnobrin is a cool guy or a dipshit, what he had for lunch, and all this other roleplaying bullshit that people seem to be so into. I strictly care about the playability of the game.

The problem I have with SOE is that I think their design decisions are beyond retarded and make the game a shell of what it could be. They've fucked up on a shitload of issues, regarding the game, with everything from bugged items, bugged abilities, unethical developers, cheating, PR'ing, broken mechanics, etc.

They continually take selected feedback about their product from a very biased pool of people. You'd think that they would weight feedback about gameplay coming from people who understand the actual game. Instead they continually listen to people who don't have a fucking clue about the game and it results in a piss poor product.

This is just the tip of the iceburg in problems I have with SOE regarding the direction of this game.
