I would also like to point out this isn't the first time Sony has blackballed a web site for reporting unfavorable information:

I remember that. I also remember the huge shitstorm it started on other journalists' sites. There is no doubt that part of the swift resolution was because of that backlash. I wonder, since 'flames according to Radar:

if SOE's(yes I know it wasn't SOE) lesson learned was co-opt the media instead of just respecting it.

And before you fansite people respond, yes I know people here can be over the top but if you are going to come here and be admonishers or voices of reason, do it with more than innuendo and statements that SOE PR is one of the best in business( without acknowledging it's still crap.) If you want to look better then you should be better than sycophants getting in to arguments with the supposedly weak and irrelevant Gaige.

EQ2F doesn't need any of those places, it has the PEOPLE and we are what counts. Those places only wish they had the people this place has, its what your ad revenue is based on, not the "support" of other useless sites.

In that case Kotaku is a perfect example of true journalism. Unlike the lame propaganda TTH and ZAM copy and paste "and sometimes add words to try and make it funny" from SOE.

You are missing a couple of key ingredients here Columbo.

A) Kotaku is considered a credible source of news including reposting the PR jargon all of you get your panties in a wad over.

B) Kotaku easily sees 4000% more traffic than Flames so beef with them is going to be heard by a lot more people.

C) You just admitted yourself it was SCEI and not SOE so I don't need to remind you how irrelevant your argument is.

D) Huge shitstorm? It lasted 2 days. SCEI apologized almost immediately and it's over.

E) I'll agree with the above poster to a point. Kotaku has at least two real journalists who have worked on actual newspapers. Of course they are still media and get free stuff from Sony constantly but they are unbiased right? If they said anything against you they'd be right over here in Shilltown with me, but hey for now they are in which is good for them.

Keep up the seething anger though, I promise you SOE is about to buckle any minute now.
