I hope you understand this, because if not, head back to elm school. If we posted dev info on fucking photobucket and linked it around, would photobucket be at fault? LFG created this site to be an open forum without heavy moderation, and he's being consistant with what the site intended to be. Don't like it? fucking leave then.

SOE prolly isn't going to fire anyone over this. Maybe SOE will reform their current Devs Gone Wild policy into something a little more professional. Maybe some Devs will get slowly and quietly disappeared.

NPU is gonna blow this off and hope it goes away. And it will eventually. They have lost respect in the raiding community, um okay. Their rep on Guk isn't really any worse than it was before, anyone who has been around and isn't one of their bitch boys knows how they roll.

Not to defend them or Asstaroth, but...wtf is everyone singling them out and forgetting about Aerilik et. al? It's the big picture that matters.

Too bad this is all true. And since this has been uncovered I will attest to the accuracy of this post.

One of my RL friends was in NPU, Shennron. Others know him as "GB" (will keep his name unlisted). He would frequently tell me and another friend that plays how the plotting of figuring out new content was freely given to them by a dev in the guild. I really didn't think it was to this extent but I am not at all surprised by the release of this news.

Shennron reluctantly quit because the unpure ways of the game and reverted back to EQ1.

This is horrible.

What this boils down to is this:

Certain devs are corrupt as all hell, thats been pretty much proven at this point. The point is, the devs shouldnt be in a position to give out "privliged" information, such as how to complete a raid encounter, under any curcumstance to non-SOE employees(IE paying customers).

The dev that did this should immediatly lose his job, or soe needs to post explaining why he/she is not losing their job most ricky tick.

Rhoe is clueless about what people are getting at here, no one posted anything "private" that was obtained via illegal or shady methods, all information posted here was volunteered by either sony or the employee themself.

I am a soldier, in the US Army, guess what, when one soldier screws up, we all look bad, why, because we are part of the same organization. When one employee at SoE screws the pooch, and SOE doesent handle it with a fury, they all look bad, period.

As far as NPU goes, until they post some kind of defense, guilty as charged, and they can burn for it.

Why do people come here to post, because the forum nazis as the official forums immediatly delete anything remotly close to negative, or truthful.

Personally, thank you LFG for providing a site without the relentless forums nazis hunting every post that isnt to their mindless liking.

I think more than anything, the in-game favors for rl sex favors allegation is waayyyy bigger than the NPU stuff. Depending on what the favors entailed, possibly even criminal.

Anyone talking about criminal charges is a moron.
Anyone who thought it would be smart to take on this website is twice the idiot the others are.

These devs are unethical. They do not deserve their jobs, as they are using their positions to further their private means. Intellectual property is the same as physical. Its the same thing as using the company gas card to fill up your car after work. There's no difference. But unethical != illegal necessarily. Since its intellectual property, its nearly impossible to verify how and when and for how long this information was released.

Aerilik's issue is different, but really sad. He's obviously a really messed up guy to be pulling this. I would almost venture mentally unstable to lash at LFG and this site like this. This site, that has helped to offer ideas that the devs basically copy pasted. (Epics anyone?)

And to think, all Grimwell had to do was not be a little bitch, and none of this would have happened.

Actually the inventor or showeq(from eq1) was hired by Smeed, the president of SOE, this is public information that Smeed already said. He hired him BECAUSE he was that good, and managed to decode eq1 back in the day. This person still works for SOE.
