Re: Back at you, SOE
Pants - I seriously didn't ever first see that email until last night, when I received it as a screenshot. I have not logged into anyone's account, even in this situation. Nothing I told you was untrue. Your name wasn't used in this at all.
More than one person on this site can say that I've previously requested their login information to check out a problem with their account, then asked them to change their pw afterwards.

Re: Back at you, SOE
Lord Pantz,
I know I mentioned your guild in one of my posts....and tbh we are going after Aerallik to hang him. None of us knew what use you made of that PM till you came on and said your piece. We are more concerned with what Aerallik and less with what you or SoN did atm...tho I'm sure someone will start a thread soon to flame your guild. Personally since I knew Manyak I've had nothing but highest regards for your guild. If you did indeed use the exploit then that is on your conscience and you will have to deal with the oncoming assault upon your guild that I'm sure some will join in with. I'm more interested in seeing Aerallik dealt with myself....good luck to you sir
Kess

We don't know if this is actually an exploit. We don't know if Aeralik is on a position to look the other way.
If one is concerned about the integrity of the game, send the information to someone at SOE or Sony. While it may not get you the public response desired, it is more likely to get an actual result in terms of changes to dev practices (assuming there was any wrongoing - if there's no exploit, this whole point is moot).
Ultimately, only SOE can decide if there was an exploit and if Aeralik did anything improper. Making this public indicates that LFG is less interested in seeing a just resolution and more interested in creating scandal.

So no, he never IMPLIED you have privacy here, he pretty much said it outright.

There is no such thing as privacy on the interwebz, noob.
If we want to argue semantics, LFG said the functionality was not enabled, but didn't say anything about not enabling that functionality at a future date or that the functionality had not been enabled previously.

Nice rationalization; do you actually believe it?
Yes, the letter of what he wrote is true, but not the spirit.

This isn't about SoN. I doubt anyone has ever had problems with that guild. This is about the integrity of the SOE Staff

PS, everybody keeps saying LFG logged into Aeralik's account, no he did not. Niber, however, did.

I'm pretty sure I said that exact thing in the second post on this very thread. I'm not shocked at all; merely pointing out LFG's hypocrisy.

We don't have anything installed that allows you to go in and read people's email. The only way to do that is to physically log into a user's account. That is a far cry from having some secret app that allows an admin to browse and read user emails. We don't have anything like that on this site.
What I said was true to the best of my knowledge when I said it, and I didn't know about this screenshot when I said that.
