The difference is HUGE.

Pantz cheated at a video game, and then came forward and accepted sole blame.

Aeralik didn't just cheat at a game, he violated the business ethics of his job for personal gain.

The two aren't even comparable. Coming forward and apologizing when you're not required to takes balls, and generally results in forgiveness.

On an unrelated note, LFG, I've come up with the wording for your rules amendment:
"Effective Immediately all Private Messages will be inspected by Niber and LFG to ensure that they are kept Private"
