I find that tough to believe that it was a /bug report since the opening line of what was forwarded was clearly directed at the reader, something which wouldn't be intuitive when filling a bug report.

Aeralick was a DEVELOPER!
Aeralick promised to "look the other way", meaning HE considered it an exploit.
If he didn't consider this an exploit, why the fuck would he need to look the other way?

If they intend something to be played in a particular manner, they should code it to play in that particular manner. Also, I've never seen anything in the EULA that says playing the game content as delivered is an exploit. I'm not defending Asslik or any of the other tardfucks at SOE, but I still don't see the strategy in question as an exploit.

That's fucking retarded, with your definition there's no exploits ever. The only reason exploits occur is because the coding allows for it, although it's unintentional. Like charming a mob to hit Matron for a retarded amount of damage, you don't consider that to be an exploit either? Using numerous groups for Harla Dar, totally intended? "Death Coordination" on Chel'Drak? And fuck, all the dupe methods must've been totally legit as well, since the code allowed for it!

Re: Back at you, SOE
What the privacy issue comes down to is . . . do you trust LFG? I don't think he'd use private messages just to prove some petty point. But it's a BIG trust we place in his integrity.
I dunno, I trust him. Normally I'd say "under no circumstances" to posting private messages but this . . . meh.
Use your benevolent dictator powerz wisely LFG.
It's sad I have more trust in LFG's integrity than in SOEs.

Whether the channels were the official in game /bug or a pm to here or on the official forums is irrelevant in my book. If I PM a dev a dupe exploit but don't petition or bug it in game does it make it a less official notification?

When you use the I have a real life and your just a bunch of video game nerds defense you need to make some kind of statement implying that your going to a social event after you post, preferably with girls, and or beer. Here I found you an example
Quote:
establish yourself as someone capable of maintaining real life social contact on some sort of level, which makes you way cooler than all these other freaks who have been arguing anime with you for most of the afternoon. Your case is made even stronger if you can somehow work in some mention of sexual contact or the presence of alcohol, and is significantly weakened if the real life activity is possibly nerdier than arguing with people online. Examples: Bad: I am going to an Elfpunk LARPing group that I found on Craigslist. Ha ha. I bet you losers wish you had a big velvet cape like the one I am wearing right now (I am wearing a giant green cape while I'm typing this. Picture that, losers).
Good: I'll be up in the club getting wasted on Bacardi Breezers with some hot bitches and they gonna be all up on me, brb.

This, and they've encouraged people sending PMs to devs as means for resolving exploits, dupes, etc. It's a more direct means of communication for things that should be resolved immediately, or might be lost in the normal bug report channels, or if it's questionable whether it even is a bug.
I'm curious what response that PM got personally. Did he just ignore the guy sending it to him or did he give him the all clear or what?
