You would think that with 2 new games on the horizon that they know

I think it highly unlikely that everyone on flames would be too dumb to notice all the devs disappearing from discussions here, while the censored forums are suddenly flooded with red names posting trivial fluff to make it look like heavy activity is happening on their glee club boards - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out "something" is going on. Sure as the sun rises, questions would be popping up within hours hounding LFG as to why the devs are no longer participating in eq2flames discussions... what would LFG do then, lie about what happened behind the scenes? Keep quiet, and get in line with NPU on his knees to try and make SOE love him again so it can all be quietly swept under the carpet? Seems one way or another, LFG was going to be forced to reveal SOE's "Fuck You" to all of us.

Not to mention, a lot of good players with valid input are banned from the censored SOE forums (where even "respectfully" submitted yet critical feedback is deleted), so how is a dev abandonment of open discussions on eq2flames anything but a slap in the face of the raiding community as it burns far more players than just LFG?

I canceled my 2 box'd account and xfered my 80 defiler to my main account last night. I also canceled my main account which had station access. It was good thearpy... when the time runs out i will probably re-sub with the minimum subscription because my man will still play and I will always help him when he asks... but...

I've pre-ordered Age of Conan and am looking forward to it.. I am hoping my guildies will come over if it actually is going to be a great game. I am excited that there is blood, gore, violence, strong language, adult situations, prostitution rings etc... The music and artwork are astounding and i am a sucker for great fantasy epic music as well as blood, gore, violence, strong language and adult situations.. tho i may start a harem and not a prostitution ring.. these qualities i enjoy in EQ2Flames as well and will keep reading here.

I think SOE thought that the only people they'd be pissing off are the small percentage of people that go after avatars. I don't pretend to have the time to do such a thing in my life.. yet the disappointment has still affected me on a level that spending my money on this game just doesn't feel right. There are many types of gamers that come to this site of many different walks and stages in their lives. Alot of EQ2 players these days ARE interested in raiding on at least a casual level and i think SOE is misguided on how many people (with multiple accounts) this slight to LFG and the EQ2flames community actually effects.

My server is a wasteland at this point and I'm not sure life will be brought back to it unless they merge servers again. Investigating all the other server forums seems to allow me to draw the same conclusion for a majority of them.

Maybe their next expansion will bring me back.. but I'm pretty sure I'd be hesitant to spend money on it unless they start giving a crap about their customer base and clearing out employees who have the integrity of a forum troll and wouldn't know moral ethical behavior in game or IRL if it punched them in the face.. or gonads as it may be.
Based on experiencing SWG and hearing stories about EQ1, im not sure that integrity ever existed there.

People are right when they say there are more options available to the gamer who prefer's an MMO these days. EQ2 is not the end all be all or else they would have cornered their market by now much like the dreaded WoW did. I couldn't get past the 7 day trial i had for that game... more like 1 hour into the game i got bored.. but there are other things out there and some good stuff coming in the very near future. SOE needs to GTFO of MMO's and maybe a more respectable company should pick up the EQ franchise.

Their idea of "testing" content is deplorable and lacks any logic or sense.. I'm surprised they've gotten this far.

In all seriousness though, I can't imagine how much time you put into this site, and a WoW one would probably be many times more popular so yeah, it's just me dreaming. Maybe someone will run with the idea.

I don't know what the big hubbub is about all of this.

First off, this is LFG's site, he makes the rules, he pays the bills. If there is any one place in this world where he can call himself GOD, this is it.

If he was snooping through PMs and found one where a guy was telling about how he anal raped and killed a dozen children and then made it public, would yawl be saying what he did was unethical?

If someone does something bad, they deserve to be exposed. Nuff said.

If anyone says, "hey, but a child murderer is way different then a cheatin' dev". All I have to say is, what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

There is no grey area in right or wrong. Sometimes you gotta pick the lesser of 2 evils but otherwise it's black and white.

I hear "everyone hates a tattle tail" and in my mind that's just plain ol' B.S. Only people who do the wrong thing hate tattle tails.

I'm not saying I do the right thing all the time, I most certainly don't, but when I get in trouble for being naughty I take my punishment like a good boy and don't piss and moan about it.
