You know what this thread needs? More Self-Help Guru's swooping in and giving heartfelt advice to a subject they know nothing about.

This post needs more justification of this girl sending naked pictures to people because she is probably "in a slut phase".

This post needs more people swooping in and standing behind a person who emotionally abused several people within a few weeks. Reckless disregard of people's emotions, cold-hearted actions which left a wake of slutty pictures, hurt feelings and the drive of needed vindication. People need to keep coming here and expect the men here to wimper away, crawl into a corner, turn on their favorite My Chemical Romance song, and cry themselves to sleep.


This post needs to have more people bitch about the fact we took action, and hit a person where we know it hurts. I mean, hell, when you walk into a room of five people, piss in each ones faces, and then expect to walk out of the room without at least a "Hey, what the fuck" seems reasonable to me, too.


We need more people to come here and tell us that our actions are too extreme for them, they would never act this way, and that posting these things, saying these things, thinking these things are wrong. Wrong, extreme, and something they would never do. No person would ever get emotional, angry and want revenge on an ex. Ever. I applaud you.

When we had SOE people on this site and this site had fansite status, I wrote and enforced the rules to prohibit some of the images shown in this thread.

After the SOE drama when I declared this site was now FFA, my intention was to relax those rules somewhat to give people more freedom in what they could post.

I agree that in Dec 06, I even suspended Widem for posting a pic with a blacked out penis, yet one of those is now posted in this thread.

My intent now is to enforce the site rules in a way that prohibits porn, for NSFW reasons. When I allowed the images to be posted in this thread, I changed the thread title to include "NSFW", to prevent someone from accidentally clicking on the link for this thread and then getting in trouble after the images were seen by a boss or co-worker. Hopefully, nobody is stupid enough to click on a thread with "NSFW" in the title while they are at work, and if they do, I would feel justified in saying they can't blame me for that.

So I still don't want to see pictures on this site showing penises, vaginas, female nipples, and other NSFW content, because those can get people in trouble at work, and roughly half the traffic on this site is from people reading it while goofing off at work.

But in a thread that is clearly and unmistakably marked with NSFW in the title, I guess I no longer have a problem with a limited amount of photos having blacked out genitalia, based on the examples shown in this thread, when the purpose of posting those photos is basically evidence to support the topic underway in the thread.

I still won't permit gratuitous displays of porn, whether blacked out or not. For example, I wouldn't allow someone to take pictures from a porn site and posting them here with the genitals blacked out, for no reason other than to cause trouble, when the photos didn't relate to a person or drama in that specific thread.

There also has to be a reason for posting the pics relating to the thread, and the thread also has to be unmistakably marked NSFW, so there is no chance anyone could click on it accidentally.

But

(a) when drama involves a specific person, and

(b) when the pics were voluntarily given out to multiple people by the person pictured or

(c) the pics were posted by the person pictured on a publicly accessible website such as myspace (privately posted photos, for example from a guild website, are still not allowed)

(d) when the pics are related to the subject of the thread, for example as proof of certain behavior as they are in this one, and

(e) when the penises, vaginas, and bewbies are in fact blacked out so you can't see them and

(f) when the thread is marked NSFW NSFW in the title,

I don't have a problem with them being posted here. And the reason I don't have that problem is that if there is a NSFW warning, clear warning has been given not to click on that thread from work, and based on the reasons I've given above, I'm comfortable that I can't be liable for a violation of privacy.

So are the Site Rules currently different than what I've allowed in this thread? Yes, I agree that they are. But keep something in mind. I am not a corporation, I don't have to answer to a boss on this site. I've lost money on this site since I opened it. This site is a hobby, and I do what I do here for my entertainment rather than yours. If you don't like what I do on this site or disagree with my decisions, you are free not to use it.

EDIT: Let me be crystal clear that images of porn, especially images depicting fabric free penises, vaginas, and bewbies, whether high res photos, crappy photos, well drawn, realistic looking images, or blacked out photos, still can NEVER be posted in any sig or avatar on this site. That's because you can't post NSFW warnings on the entire site for sigs, avatars and individual posts. An NSFW warning has to be included in the thread title to prevent people from ever opening that thread in the first place. The guidelines I've stated above are limited to the circumstances described and nothing more. Enforcement of the site rules hasn't changed in any other way.

Rules change in life based on changed situations. Get over it.

Hey! I gawped like a good 'un for a good 20 or so pages. Trouble is after a while you get sucked in to the "mob with flaming torches" mentality. My comment on Gaige was derived entirely from those 20 or so pages. Please disabuse me of the idea that he totally changed his position subsequently and I will unequivocally offer my apologies. Until then however, I'm afraid , he will continue to be a knob-wipe (in my opinion) for releasing personal information both in game and this thread.
