and good for you Gaige =) If you are intent on being a father and you will take good care of that child and rear it responsibly then hat's off to you. I'd rather hear that you're going to settle down with the mother of your child and marry her and all that...but at least you are taking the first mature step in taking responsibility...I guess for now that is all that can be asked...

but seriously you may want to consider that a child is better being raised in a loving home with a mom and dad who actually love each other and can show that child what a good loving relationship is like so that they can in the future have healthy solid relationships....and this part I have some personal experience...

I've seen what it can do to a child who is raised by a parent who is not that mature and doesn't know the first thing about raising a child in a healthy environment and the after affects it can cause....so please do us all a favor and wait till you are a bit older and more mature before you think about having kids...

I have three children of my own and I can testify that raising them is a lot more difficult than you imagine....there is so much more involved that you will not experience until you yourself are a parent...all I can say is wait and think about it ...if you are not willing to marry the woman because you truly love her and are not willing to have a good solid marriage with her and raise kids during the course of a healthy marriage then don't procreate...stay single and enjoy your life because honestly from having read a lot that you have posted I don't honestly think you are ready for being a parent....

However the choice and decision in the end....is yours...just please be responsible...and if you need tips or advice from a wise Mom....lemme know =) my boys are age 8, 3 and 2. Try that on for size....hehehe

I pay child support. I've also gone to court over this very issue. I was told by the Judge (in California) that the child support is NOT for the child, but is a reimbursement to the mother for the extra cash SHE has to pay in taking care of the child. It sucks, but that's the way it works.
