Sometimes a drug or alcohol addiction (or mmo addiction?) takes over so much of your life that when you leave it behind, God is the only thing big enough to fill that absence.
Still, I don't think spirituality has to be addictive or obsessive to be beneficial for former addicts, though you do have a point about that sort of behaviour being common.

You know what should happen to those people? They should stop infecting our gene pool.

Re: LFG, Born-Again Christian
When people make a turn for the better in their lives and they start being more productive, happy and successful, they cheat everyone else out of some really good advice when they say "God made me do it."
I know a lot of religious nuts that are fucked right up, broke, unhappy, waiting for deliverance. They could use some of the positive advice from mr. Eric on how he was able to improve his life that isn't: "I am a Born Again Christian."
Seriously, take credit for your own hard work FFS!

Re: LFG, Born-Again Christian
Not sure why this is an RAR thread tbh. Agree with the guy or not does not make him a retard by any means. i am not a religious person at all but even i can respect beliefs of others.

Re: LFG, Born-Again Christian
i think it's wonderful LFG's found something to believe in. everyone needs something, even if it's gummy bears (mmmm... gummy bears.)
people like lfjc and the ideas he espouses are the reason I myself am not Christian, though.
oh and... why is this a RAR? /boggle

I think the OP underestimated the community gathered on EQ2Flames tbh and expected a lot of jeering in LFG's direction. Apart from the occasional blip the people here tend toward a more liberal/informed mode of thinking.
EDIT: Whilst continuing to bring on the Flames, of course!
