You know, I'm a pretty tolerant person, but the problem I have with the born-again types is phrases like this, from LFG himself:-

It's that assumption that the rest of us mere mortals are just not "quite ready" yet - maybe it wasn't meant that way - but that's how it came across to me.....
This impression they give that those either without religion, or the "wrong" religion, as just poor misguided fools who will hopefully see the light and the error of their ways....
As an atheist/humanist/agnositic (whatever the hell I am, don't want a label other than "me" really) - I don't go around thinking that about those who do have religion - and I wish they would quit doing it about those who don't have their particular flavour of beliefs.
