I'm not saying LFG has done this, but most addicts - or those with addictive personalities - subconsciously trade one addiction for another. For my stepdad, who's a recovering alcoholic, the church became his new addiction. He not only dragged me and my mom to church on Sunday, but he also took us to bible study once a week, and enrolled us in the church choir.
