As one former-addict finance student to another, grats. Finding god was the best thing ever to happen to me and my family as well.

I'm still kind of an asshole though.

I'm not saying LFG has done this, but most addicts - or those with addictive personalities - subconsciously trade one addiction for another. For my stepdad, who's a recovering alcoholic, the church became his new addiction. He not only dragged me and my mom to church on Sunday, but he also took us to bible study once a week, and enrolled us in the church choir.
