Default Special Rules for Help Wanted Section

1. This section is only for posts from guilds seriously looking to recruit players.

2. Guilds are allowed to offer cross server recruitment opportunities, and to encourage applications from players on their own servers and other servers.

3. Posts started in this section for any other purpose than stated above will be moved by an Admin to the appropriate section.

4. The person who starts each thread in this section will be given edit rights to their first post in that thread by an Admin. The person who starts the post can then perpetually update it as they see fit.

5. In general, the person who starts each thread is entitled to call for order in that thread, and to request others to stop making off topic posts, as explained in applicable portions of the New supplemental posting Guidelines for Admins and users.

5. In general, flaming is not allowed in this section, except to call BS on claims made by a guild within its recruiting post.
Example 1: If a post merely says: "Guild XYZ on Server ABC is recruiting one dirge, please post your app on Guild XYZ website or send an ingame tell to Zerkdude for immediate consideration", there is nothing in that post to dispute, since they are only recruiting and not making any claims. Therefore, no user has the right to flame this poster or guild.

Example 2: If a post says: "Totally uber guild of one seeks 23 more, pay your $50 bucks to transfer and we will dominate EQ2 and put NPU, SD, and Disso to shame, and then we will send every other guild on this server crying to their mommies", every user on this site has the right to challenge the claims made in this post and to flame that poster. If the post is actually this ridiculous or close to it, the Admins may move it to the "Your Guild Sucks" section, at their discretion.
6. Reserved, because it is likely someone will do something outrageous or stupid that none of us can foresee now, which will require a new rule to honor the spirit and purpose of this section.

Lol, good catch. The "Envy" guild drama on Nek and in the SoE forums inspired me to write that .

That's why I didn't want to make this section moderated except as described, people should be able to call BS on ridiculous claims.

If i had a nickel for every time that happened on mistmoore id have ... well a dollar or so by now. \o/

Its always fun to hear though, some random person who used to be in your guild (or a competing guild) that comes back and claims to be constructing "the best guild ever!" that is gonna dominate everything, then a month or so down the road that person is either nowhere to be found or has constructed a guild consisting of 3 maxlevel people and about 10 or so level 30s. :D

I made a statement along this line and it was deleted anyway. So now the Disso thread can be a can't-touch-me-neener-nah-nah self-glorify marathon, which is exactly what the class forums are.

So I will make the statement again. The reason the rumors exist about Disso falling apart is that Hoopdee, Widem, Sangrex, Eilella, and Falcogen were put on the "Inactive" rank. Calaglin saying, "omg that's horseshit" and demanding it to be removed and succeeding in having it removed are in direct contradiction to rule #5 of this thread, when he knows perfectly well where the rumor comes from, and the evidence is freely and publicly available on eq2players.com:

EverQuest II Players

Now how many more threads in this website are going to be sealed up by B.S./P.R. machines? And will certain people continue to have the luxury of patching up their B.S. without the thorn in the side of the posts that called it out? Isn't that the principle which led to the edit timeout rule in the first place? Am I just talking to myself here?
