Kerafyrm - The End Mob of EQ2?

Kerafyrm is my favorite mob from EQ1. I loved the story about the guild-alliance who actually killed him on Rallos-Zek, it was kinda inspirational to see so many rival guilds come together for a common goal. I'd love to see something like that happen again in EQ2.

So Kerafyrm is supposed to bring about the end of days right? Well Mayong Mistmoore seems out to stop him now... Could the lore be building up to a showdown between Mayong Mistmoore and Kerafyrm? Or Perhaps we will see a Live event in which we can see the sky, and see Kerafyrm and Veeshan actually fighting in an ongoing battle which lasts a few weeks...

It just kinda makes sense how the sleeper could be the last storyline for EQ2. The prismatic quest touched on it, and you saw mentions of his name in Sanctum of the Scaleborn... and Harla Dar is now a follower of him... He's all over the place.

It'd be nice; however that would mean that the team at Sony would actually have to give us a good raiding expansion. Yes, not a multi-tier expansion; just t8.. That would also mean they'd have to actually put some thought into the raids, what zones and what lore would be used up to them (Omg We'd actually have to do work like claymore again?! /emorage); and the Kerafyrm design would have to be reworked so it could be killed.

Sure it'd be nice to see Kerafyrm in EQ2, but if that was a 40 minute fight at 100 some k dps; just to "have it be like the original", you can count me the fuck out.

But I agree, there needs to be better Lore, Mob Interaction, and I don't think you touched on it but, better raids.

Well I'm talking more about the lore than quality of an expansion and raid design. This isn't gameplay discussion it's lore. Hell they could make kerafyrm the end boss without having you fight him at all. Like I said before it could end in a showdown between him and Veeshan, and maybe you fight someone else to get an item that tips the scales one way or another, or complete a quest for Nagafen and he flies to help his son!

Nagafen isn't his father. and wtf would a little red dragon do against Veeshan?

Karafyrm parents were killed for concieving him, nagafen and vox were seperated and banaished for even thinking about it because of what happened with Karafyrm.

Karafyrm - if we do get to fight him i hope he looks better then this.

btw! from what i've read more sleeper lore has been added in the next EQ1 xpac and it seems they will get the anwser as to his wearabouts long before we do.

I think they need to go ahead and do an EQ3 and do that shit you were talking about to combine the eq1 and 2 player base, shit is rediculous that both games are basicly following altered versions of the same Xpacs.

BTW Aerin'Dar look like Karafyrm

maybe he escaped the Plane of Valor and is pulling the strings pretending to be the sleeper

Ahh thanks for clearing that up. See, I had originally thought that Kerafyrms had different parents, but they are unnamed and therefore easily forgotten.

Funny thing is, that Nagafen and Vox had mated, and apparently Naggy has many prismatic eggs, so we'll see what happens if one of them hatches!

true enough, as you can see where i edited it. karafyrm wasnt the only Prismatic dragon.

Aerin'Dar was imprisoned in PoV and part of the access quest to get into w/e Methaniel's inner sanctum was called. I forgot qq

on a side note notice that says "The Fabled" Arein'Dar in that SS? Thats how EQ1 started reusing old content. Before I left Eq1 They had just had their 2nd "Fabled month" random contested around the world became "the Fabled" and dropped "fabled" versions of their loot table.

The chain pants off Venril sathir were sick as fuck, I had one of only 2 pair on Emarr.... that I know of may of been 3.

Anyway, they should do that For EQ2 with all the old contested heroics and epics.

kerafym is not nagafen's son.

Naggy was getting it on with vox trying to create another prismatic.

While naggy has a few eggs lying around no other prismatic has been born yet. Prismatic = opposing elemental dragons mating.

I am pretty certain kerafym can kick mayong's ass.
And without a doubt vox incarnate would eat kerafym considering she is the size of a planet.

a big battle in eq2 of players vs kerafym i can see it fitting in the lore considering he is basically provoking it already.

I always thought that some form of a co-op world event would be cool. Basically some kind of invasion event where a powerful enemy or army makes its way towards the city. Could even be through multiple zones. It would have to be so that the enemy(ies) don't get locked by encounters so that everyone can help fight. The devs would have to figure out some kind of system to reward points for those that participate in the event and those points can be used to turn in for quest rewards, like the void tempest event. Something would have to be done about lag too.

Is it me or did EQ1 have cooler GM events? Actually...has there been any GM events in EQ2?
