Drychnath it was Legacy of Ykesha, the zones are Gulf of Gunthak (where the drogmors are sold) Dulak Harbor, Crypt of Nadox, Hate's Fury (A ship) and Torgiran Mines, and you get there through Stonebrunt Mountains and The Warrens (Kobold area you mentioned)

The stone contained the power and knowledge that there would be a leader amongst the trolls who would united all clans under one. This artifact became known as the Grozmok Stone.
According to the Ykesha's Spiritwalker armor set in-game, Ykesha was the one who carved the Grozmok Stone, NOT Zraxth.

The events of EQ2 take place BEFORE he died, but after the Greenmist plague, I guess...

Hey guys, new here, just thought I'd clear some things up...

Vellious has always been extremely cold, it's largely due to the fact that where Veeshan made contact (I believe both through her breath and her claw) the precious ore velium was made (which basically acts like an infinite heat sink).

Anyway, the first Rallosian war ended in the Plane of Earth. The council of Rathe was summarily executed by the Rallosian army (each place where they were beheaded, a mountain popped up, forming the Rathe mountains). However, for this the Rallosians were cursed (hence the name of the curse -- the Curse of the Rathe) to lose their intelligence (they were previously extremely cunning and intelligent). While some of the Rallosians tried to escape (specifically a sect of orcs and giants), they did somewhat successfully and were punished as their vessels (I didn't mention this, but they tried to escape via the sea) were caught in a great storm and they were marooned on Vellious. These two peoples would form the Kromriff and the Kromzek (the ice giants and ice orcs) that we found in EQ1 on their newfound continent.
