Grozmok Stone
so reading the lore about the expansion and the zone names, I notice one thing, Ykesha. So here's a little bit of history on who the Ykesha are and the importance of them.
There trolls were created by Cazic Thule who they worshiped seclusively. That is, until a troll shaman named Zraxth started getting visions from Innoruuk, visions of power. They betrayed the elders of Cazic Thule, slew them, and used their blood in a ritual in which Zraxth was possessed by Innoruuk and carved his words of hatred onto a stone, set in with the firey blood of the past elders. The stone contained the power and knowledge that there would be a leader amongst the trolls who would united all clans under one. This artifact became known as the Grozmok Stone.
The first of these trolls to possess the stone was Warlord Ykesha and formed under him Clan Ykesha. All the trolls were flocking to him, under the protection and promise of the Grozmok Stone. However, this trust was against the will of Innoruuk, the prince of hatred. So, Innoruuk was like "Hey, Yeksha. That ain't cool, man. Gotta cut this shit out." and he turned Ykesha into Joseph Stalin, and he secluded himself and stopped trusting anyone and killed everyone who had power in fear they would topple his. The Ykesha's enemies saw this weakening of might and struck, the Grozmok Stone was lost. It went to another clan, then fell into the hands of the Ogres, the Rallosian army.
Clan Ykesha fell apart after the attack, but the scattered fragments were slowly joining back together under new leadership and formed Clan Grobb. Clan Grobb is the faction of trolls everyone is familiar with, it was the clan of trolls who you played as in EverQuest 1 and you play their descendants here in EverQuest 2.
Years passed by and the legend of the Grozmok Stone was nearly forgotten. Then, the Rallosian army dared attack the plane of growth itself, which pissed Tunare right the fuck off, and she got with the other gods and they cursed Ralos Zek's minions, weakening them greatly. This gave Clan Grobb an opportunity to strike against the trolls... not for the Gozmok Stone or anything, but simply because trolls and ogres don't like eachother. However, one of the troll raiders happened across the Grozmok Stone and brought it back to the elders of Grobb, and Clan Grobb, new Clan Ykesha, once again rose in power.
Well Clan Broken Skull wasn't cool with this, and with the aid of the frogloks attacked the city of Grobb, stole away with the Grozmok Stone, and left Grobb once again to fall apart. Then the frogloks, newly empowered by Marr, attacked Grobb, forcing the trolls out of Innothule Swamp to live with the dark elves of Neriak.
A group of adventurers, led by Morden Rasp, adventured to find the stone. They believed teh stone to hold another power besides uniting trolls.. the stone granted visions. Horrible visions. Visions of the future and of wars that would engulf all of Norrath.
Yea, I think that's about all of the important details about Clan Ykesha and the Grozmok Stone.
Edit: Fixed typos.. some of them, at least.

Re: Grozmok Stone
Grozmok stone and morden rasp dont exist in the eq2 timeline, LDON was after PoP and that was when the stories split.

Kind of gay storyline too. I made my SK (Grozmok) before I realized that.
TBH the whole Brotherhood storyline (LDON, LOY, GoD, OoW) killed EQ1 for me.

Re: Grozmok Stone
Didn't the Rallosian army invade Earth and weren't they cursed by the Rathe, not Tunare and the other lesser gods? Or were there two seperate Rallosian planar invasions and two seperate divine cursings? I also recall that the giants and orcs on Velious were spared the Rathe's curse.

Re: Grozmok Stone
It was Rathe.
Well, they spared them, but covered Velious in ice as it was the giants' mainland really. That's why when the gods left, it melted, changed water levels a bunch. Whether or not it's ice again noone knows really.

Re: Grozmok Stone
LDoN lore wasn't terrible...it stayed to the facts...it was just the same boring shit.
LDoN is possibly the most comprehensive bunch of lore reguarding the respective areas.

I thought it was Growth they invaded? I remember something about Tunare in the lore I read. You may be right, I'm gonna have to research. But I did state that Tunare and the other gods cursed them, not just Tunare herself.
Edit: Yep, you're right. Plane of Earth, however, in the official lore I still didn't see anything about WHO exactly cursed them, only "Through their combined might, Rallos Zek was finally thwarted and forced back to his domain, after which a great barrier to the Planes of Power was erected, denying entry to both the lesser gods and mortals as well."
so, completely wrong there on my part about the influential gods having to do anything with it. No idea where I got Tunare from.

Re: Grozmok Stone
Wasn't the grozmok stone hidden on Odus for a while? they did an update or mini expansion or something that added the drogmor mounts and had a ykeshan storyline that included a new forested area and a little village where they sold drogmors, there was an open dungeon there, and the name of the village/area escapes me. I remember pandas, and dashing thru kobolds to get there... I wonder if it's in my eq atlas (yeah, i still have that thing, it's got sol ro on the cover... it's still in it's little box even)

Re: Grozmok Stone
Grozmok stone exists on EQ2. I discovered it =)
It's for TSO Signature Questline dealing with the Ethernauts.. as a side quest, you ahve to go to Guk and get the stone for the Frogloks.
