As far as the lore of the game goes, those void anchors have been severed, thus saving Norrath until the next threat.

As I said before, don't try and think too much on the second and third order effects of what we, as players, do in the world. For example, at the end of RoK we have managed to slay the leaders of three very powerful groups: Ring of Scale, the Sathirian Empire, and the Di'zok Sarnak. And yet thier empires keep chugging along like nothing happened to them.
Well you also have to realize that just because we kill them in game doesn't mean we kill them in lore, or that they can't be revived or their spirits transferred to a new body. The list goes on in fantasy of how to make something keep living.

I had this same type of question a while back. This is probably the best answer:

This isn't the case for the Peacock quests (a few NPC's mention it, more notably the quest NPC for the Tinker Bag), but keep it in mind when asking "omg why is me killing xxyz not canon!?!".

I fully understand the difference between mechanics and Lore, but I honestly, wouldn't mind seeing anything involved with the void disappearing. The loss of a few non-scalable group instances and Palace and MMB as raid zones and a retooling of WoE wouldn't make me shed a single tear.

Sure there are a few nice things in some of those zones but really? What drops out of there that there isn't something somewhat comparable or superior to those items. Also, I could stand to see items become a little more special simply because they don't drop any longer.
