Default Just Curious about TSO timeline.

Since obviously, the TSO timeline is intended to end ultimately in somehow "closing off", or destroying, the anchors to the void, wouldnt that deprive us, in theory anyway, of 3 instanced group zones, and 2 x4 raid zones?

Im asking, because while i enjoy raiding, im also curious as to the linear continuity of each expansion. So im interested on others take on this subject, and would love to hear alternate explanations, or even make up some interesting side plots of our own, just for lulz.

Expansions never get closed off, lore cant explain it, it is just game mechanics.

i realise this, i was saying it was poorly thought out is all, and i was wondering what others thought of it, or if there might be some sort of way to explain it away, that i hadnt heard, in the lore of the expansion

Lore is different from game mechanics. Just learn to roll with it and don't think about it too hard. Otherwise you might realize you're casting magic spells, carrying 15 sets of gear, and running around with talking cats, lizards, frogs, and rats. And once that happens your head explodes.

LoL ok i guess noone else is as interested as i was, just seemed like a narrow minded approach to the expansion was all.

I prefer riding around on a flying carpet that is covered in fire, in armor made out of magma, while carrying 6 huge boxes full of stuff.

Maybe you could think of it this way, that the anchors are sealed but only for a breif moment because ashinti sul does not want them closed and she is a god after all???

Storyline lore-wise you're never going back into the void through the OOA, AoB, or Ferhzul gates after you complete the sig quest. The story of those void gates ended when you destroyed their respective anchors and/or Varsoon. As far as the lore of the game goes, those void anchors have been severed, thus saving Norrath until the next threat.

As I said before, don't try and think too much on the second and third order effects of what we, as players, do in the world. For example, at the end of RoK we have managed to slay the leaders of three very powerful groups: Ring of Scale, the Sathirian Empire, and the Di'zok Sarnak. And yet thier empires keep chugging along like nothing happened to them.

Just imagine how many times the Ethernauts had to fight Anashti Sul till now and how many times they will have to until next expansion goes live :46:

See, even the NPCs need to farm the damned raid zones for the drops they need.
