If you're speaking about the fight from a lore standpoint, which I assume you are considering the forum, Mayong would kick the crap outta Venril. Mayong is one of the oldest beings on Norrath, sure, Venril is old too, but not near as old as Mayong. Also, which one of these two ascended to godhood recently? Oh yea, Mayong. Last time I checked, God > Lich

Btw, if you're talking lore, you can't use their mechanics in-game to decide a winner unless you wanna start saying "Oh yea, well this one's higher lvl!"

I thought Mayong considered himself to be ascended to godhood, where in reality he was just murkin around as a demi-god.

Upon players defeating Mayong Mistmoore in the Demi plane of blood, Mayong sheds his mortal body, and ascent into true godhood.

Though i believe it was said eq1 and eq2 split lore wise upon release of eq2 so i guess that depends in which realm.

Also, unfortunately, and to my personal dismay, they are very vague when it comes to MM's ascension in EQ2. Idk if they plan on explaining it later, or what, but we basically are just told that he did, didn't like it and went back to just being an immortal on Norrath
