Order of the Rhime

Where the hell are these guys from and what is the lore behind them, i never played eq1 so if its from there sorry for noobing it up

Rime is entirely new to eq2 lore.

I havent done the quest series yet but from what I do know they stopped in kunark after an iksar bard who was captured played by them played a bunch of songs about all the neato stuff to see in kunark, like venrils super sweet gold stash and the extremely gay kurns tower.

They seem to be a precursors to the next expansion, or at least New Halas. they travel the land on giant sheets of ice with cheldrak monsters called "turgans" leading the way. There are a few of them who seem to be a new race that combine giants and barbarians, which might have happened when shit started getting crazy in everfrost and the barbarians had to do something to survive when their city started floating away, teaming up with the giants would have helped them.

not much is really known about them so far though!

Yeah i started the quest line thats why i started asking, lol...also wtf is cheldrak's sisters doing in chains, argh go grab island dwelling turtle dragons and lest go to kunark argh!

Yeah that didnt really make any sense to me either.
I was hoping like a Viking ship would be there rather then a floating glacier.

It's 90% repeatables, unfortunantly.

Do the quests until you have positive 1000 faction with the illusion. Do the soko repeatable over and over.

Agreed. I hear people say "oh no, go to JW you'll get more faction per quest so that must mean it's faster" when you have the mobs in KJ to kill standing right next to where you get the quest. The wife's defiler would just put me on /follow and I'd kill all of 'em in 2 or 3 pulls with my SK.

And we'd also do the one where you kill the fishies in the lake nearby because we were doing the sokokar repeatables faster than they would spawn. Doing those two we were getting 15-20k faction per hour IIRC while the others were taking 15 minutes a pop to finish those 1,200 faction repeatables in JW.

And I would be trying to help people in the chat channels and we'd get people saying "don't listen to him it's faster getting 1200 faction per quest then it is getting 800 faction per quest". That would be like someone telling me it's better to make $1000 a week than $100 an hour, but whatever, it's there wasted time not mine ;)
