I have hit high 3k and even 4k+ in CoA on bossfights with only a troub. Wearing only RoK gear except Fabled classet robe.

have 50% crit with a troub 600 +spell dmg (more is waisted if you ask me) and only 2 proc items

My advice would be to go all out all the time and just keep pushing it and keep looking at the parses. You dont hit high numbers without taking chances, if you get aggro who cares, blame the tank

Ohh and on group mobs, make you are casting all your AOE's, including stuns, that power tap thing, and the mez, and the out of encounter (blue) mez.

Shit if I have a milisecond I even cast our fast single target mez to try and get a proc lol.

Examine highend illusionist also, i'm forever doing that, ask them about what items they have, personally i'm going crazy on crits and trying to get myself as much as possible at the moment.

Hi Folks

Thanks for all your answers. I leveled my illusionist a lil more, and came to the point where it was obvious EQ2 illu gameplay was really different from EQ 1 chanty.
My main issue (illu is a key smashing class, at least at low level as far as i can tell, where you keep doting & refreshing dots ) was still there & annoying.

So well, i've decided to betray your noble cause, and rerolled a wizard. The direct dps feeling fits me more. And at least, i feel like i have a clear defined role in group.

Many thanks for your advice, though

When I was 61 I was having trouble maintaining 500 dps with mastercrafted gear. Got to 70 and 1500 dps was managable in a trash group with the same gear. Get some good proc gear and a decent group and that jumps to 2500 to 3500 pretty fast.

Read the part where I said Here's my advice.... Would you like me to upload an image with a neon sign saying "ADVICE" in flashing hot pink next time, so people like you don't miss it?

you two should fuck imo, on a serious note, im sure you have probably already re-rolled and arent gonna read this, but illusionists really dont come out till you get a good solid chunk of aa's, i mean, you really need to go down like 3 lines before your liek yea ok, no i can start going somewhere. also at 22 im sure most of your resists are more so because of your shit gear/abilitys and app2 spells.

As far as instance parsing goes, well i generally use my leet ring on encounter groups and i parse anywhere from 6k-15k depending on the fight, the little groups of gnawers are usually good for a 12-15k parse in maidens, the groups of ghosts in vaults 6-8k, but i usually have a pu group with a tank that cant taunties or a group that cant dpsies

Funny, cuz thats the same role that illusionists have. Just cuz the class's name is different that doesnt mean much.
