Been searching the forums, but only found an outdated spell casting order for maxing dps. (wtf is "Pause" ) Is there an updated one for T8? I'm really new to the class, so this would help me learn the recast timing and linking key spells. btw.. I am looking into that old casting order, cause I'm sure 90% is still true in RoK.

Otherwise, it shouldn't be hard to pick up and test some combos with ACT. Just looking for the easy/quick help, since I'm 80 and have zero illy experience.

anyway, simply put, just alternate UV beam between spells, and give priority to the highest damaging spells. So like, if you just hit UV beam and then u have a choice between pris adornment and brainclot, go with adornment.

I dunno if cal's going to make fun of my order by 90% of the time i go:

pris chaos (prepull)
illuminate/momentary (prepull (if up))
chronosiphoning
beam
construct
beam
chromatic shower (*)
beam
brainclot
beam
abolish hope (*)
beam
chaos
beam
tumor
beam
brain clot
....


You get the picture, it's something like that, I'll wait to hit chromatic shower depending when dispatch hits, and always push chaos in priority of recasting a dot.
And don't hit gamma storm unless there's 2 mobs or you've worked yourself into a really weird cast schedule and would rather cast that than your skills debuff.

It's mostly trail and error to figure out what works best in your group

I'm high on painkillers and not thinking very clear as Cal will likely attest (ie. correct me) but here's some values on our spells with boe and shit

without any +damage at about 634 int the mean values for our single target stuff is:

Beam(m2) at 796.5
Lesion(a3) at 868
Brainclot(a3) at 1022
Abolishhope(m1) at 868
Chaos(m1) at 921.5 (1tick)

with vm up:
Beam(m2) at 995.6
Lesion(a3) at 1085
Brainclot(a3) at 1277.5
Abolishhope(m1) at 1085
Chaos(m1) at 1151 (1tick)

if you divide all those VM numbers in half you'll notice once you hit 500 +damage it's going to start to scale down pretty quick with lesion and abolish hope not gaining much shortly after.

I still don't say coercers are broken... they just have a dps cap on raids and I want more, since I'm never in the MT group. (guild officer is always on and in this spot)

For PvP.... if mez lands, players still blow up on breaking it.

Betrayed for guild needs and was asked if I wouldn't mind. I don't mind trying something different.

With that said... T8 raid kills last night... god illy's have it easy. I don't have to stare and my maintained window the entire fight (reactives)and can just pump out the dps. ... is pretty fun, I'll say that.

Back when a spell order was posted, Pinksi (at least I think it was him) put something like a .25 second pause in the casting order because it was more efficient to wait for Beam to come back up than toss on a less efficient spell and have Beam sitting around not being cast as much as possible.
