Yeah it is nice, but it would be more useful if it was maybe a 1 second cast time.

Add a high damage mental backlash and/or a 2-3 second daze on termination plz kk thnx!

I just got a Master of this. How much damage can I expect it to absorb. In raids, is it worth casting on the pull to help with that first damage spike?

It's useless to cast on pull since most of the time the tank will have ToS up which means 0 damage absorbed, but the doppleganger drops anyway. It's better to just cast it during the fight, otherwise it'll probably get wasted by ToS, or the tank'll hit their tsunami, or whatever. You shouldn't use this as an emergency spell, it should just be something you use during the middle of the fight.

I got the master also, and despite reading that it got fixed, often times i still wouldnt see anything happen after casting it. So i decided to test it out using a few scenarios.

The only scenario i found that the spell did nothing was when the person who had agro was outside of melee range from the mob i was targetting, the spell would cast and expand its recast duration, but no doppleganger would appear. Still unsure wether it needs to apply to all the mobs in one encounter however. I found that, for example against Slamhammer in Runnyeye, i would cast Doppleganger on the tank(targetting thru Slamhammer) when his little hammer adds would spawn, and No doppleganger would appear when clearly slamhammer was within melee range of the tank, but not all of his hammer pets were.

That's strange, since i just tested that stuff few hours ago and its not working at all. In fact it failed 2 times in a row to show any doppleganger when i casted it. But like i said, both of those times were when the mob in question was not within melee range of the one it was agroed on. Not a big deal, but its still a bug.

Was the person who aggro'd it, engaged in combat and targeting the mob? Were they stunned or stifled?

They were engaged with it, I simply asked the warden in my group to root the mob and stay out of its melee range. Than i targeted the mob who was targeting the warden and casted the doppleganger. Nothing happened first time. We tested it again to make sure, and same result.
