3% Crit is worth less than 2% Crit and +75 Spell damage or 2% Crit and +80 Spell Damage, or 4% Crit and +17 Spell Damage. Thus, it's not that good of an item.

There are items like the T3 robe that give 20% boe. So it's actually not that hard to get to 1000 boe.

That's gonna be hard, to be fair, it's easy to hover around 700 without hurting your crits too much, if you want to go over that you need to use Robe of ancient terrors, but to do that you sacrifice a robe with crits and other nice stuff. So no you always loose some crits if you want to aim at 1000 boe.

I used that robe when i completely focussed on crits and only had around 400 boe and for that purpose it's a good robe.

Let's see, I have 810 Spell Damage and 74% Crits from Gear. Hrm, doesn't look that hard to go above 700. Still want a new earring that drops off trash in SoH which would drop my Crits from gear to 73% and up Spell Damage to 870. Still need a new Charm which would add another 25. Then changing in the ring off Byzola and I'd have 73% Crit and 1020 Spell Damage. Add in AAs(12%), Base(1%), Bard(7%), Temp-Adorn+Potion(7%), and you're at 100%.

So getting 1000 Spell Damage isn't that hard even without sacrificing Crits.

It's not even hard to get at 100% crits, so with your setup you're sacrificing on crits.
