i am still hoping for some feedback. Maybe even more as there is a lot of stuff added by now in the coercer gear thread and i'd assume that most of that stuff except their class items would suit an illy as well. Maybe any chance for some updates?

And another question crit/cast time reducer (alacrity)
from the formulas and discussion in the coercer forum i assume that 5% alacrity would be better than 5% crit. But i also assume that spell haste and alacrity both count against the same cap? so there is no benefit of alacrity items as soon as you hit the cap?

So which one is better out of these. I use the Orb of the Cloud Breaker as i have the Gassy Scepter but still need the orb for the extra procs

Ok, your post is a bit confusing since you say you have the orb but dont say which one and talk about procs when there aren't any.

If you have all 3 then the Gassy Sceptre/Muddy Orb is the best combination until you can get the Praetors Guard.

I have and use Praetors Guard, i also have Orb of the Cloud Breaker, static field projector (http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/496583315) and Gassy Scepter. I am using Praetors Guard and Orb of the Cloud Breaker. I don't have Muddy Orb or eye poking trophy (http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/583465709) and so don't get the extra bonus for 2 items. So out of Orb of the Cloud Breaker, static field projector and Gassy Scepter which should i use/ which is better.

Use the Gassy Scepter alongside your Praetor's Guard.

If you don't have dark orb I would use the RE2 set. Using Gassy Scepter and Muddy Orb as a set seams better the using Pguard + Gassy Scepter or Pguard + Cload Breaker or any of those combinations.

Assuming you have 1% crit adon on all guard + gassy will give you 8% crit + a proc and 1% cast speed and 2% reuse on hostile spells. If you switch the guard for muddy you loose 1% crit and the proc but gain 4% reuse on all spells, not just hostile. Sounds better to me.
