Hey all, mediocre illi parser here (4.5k+) looking for some advice.

I was wondering if anyone wears the shimmering hues set up to the 4 or 6 piece bonus? I'd be giving up a lot of spell crit if I got rid of my gloves, and forearms to get to 4. And I'm not going to be killing Trak for a while so I'm not even really thinking about the chest piece yet.

Don't have the queen silk slippers so I'm definatley going to replace the PR boots with the shimmering Hues boots. So then I'd need one more piece to get the 4 piece set.

So which piece should I give up?

Genesplicer pants
Sorcerous Gloves
Woven Silk Underlay?

Any of the 4 pieces from head, legs, shoulders and feet are usually an upgrade. If you get some particularly good pieces like the Hood of Dark Dealings then I'd swap them out for the wrist as generally the four set bonus is worth maintaining.

Don't use the gloves though, they're awful (unless they are the only bit you have to get your 2 set).

I wasn't to clear in the original message. At the moment I wear the sleeves and the hat from shimmering hues.

Swapping out Head for the SoH hat and wearing Trak robe imo.

From a PVP point of view I find it rather worthless without Manashield.

Yup I dunno what I could drop to get the 4 set... HoDD no. RoDP no (I don't give a fuck about pvp). LAva sleeves? no. Gloves? Fucking horrible.

So I guess drop fish embroidered? 2crit and 100 spell damage (adorned).

Gloves and boots?

How much dps does the 4-set actually add?

You only lose 2 crit and 70 spell damage by dropping fish embroidered, since you get the 30 spell damage on gloves either way. The 4-set is worth much more than 2 crit/70 spell damage.

What 2 pieces did you pick? Boots and gloves?
