here are a couple STR line parses with the carotidcutter.

ext dps: 706, average 1071, min 356, max 1629

ext dps: 616, average 977, min 209, max 1362

ext dps: 883, average 1096, min 529, max 1614

ext dps: 735, average 870, min 384, max 1332

This was in the caster group troub, wiz, lock, lock, fury, myself. If we dont have to joust the dps from melee is amazing with the right weapons and buffs.

Buffs IA, Rapidity (adept3), Feral M1. troub haste. No item haste.

STR Line 4, 4, 4, 8.

Mobs was EH trash fights where in the 30-40 sec range. Parses where in the 5k range.

Again I remind you im on a pvp server so debuffs are limited. When we hit Exe Throne room next will be able to get some solid numbers most of you will be able to compare with.

My str was in the 500+ range if i remember correctly.

I didnt nothing differant from my normal casting i just stood next to the mobs with my attack on.

So instead of improving your Raid's DPS by putting IA on the Troub, you put it on yourself. And you're attacking green-con mobs which basically mean you won't miss, so yah........ Try it against Lv84-86 con mobs, then say it's worth that much.

You're right its green trash, and a chance to have fun with the numbers. So i used IA. On a blue server with full set of debuffs the numbers would be similar on yellow mobs.

Reguardless, I am simply showing how the carotidcutter and other melee style weapons with our STR line are a very useful and beneficial item. The piercing damage OUTPARSED all of my spells on most of the fights. The fights it did not out parse beam it was within 1% of beam in total dps. That should be all the comparison you need. Feel free to expeiriment yourself.

No, it wouldn't be similar, unless you buff stacked yourself. Broccoli used it for a while with the Cartodicutter(that same weapon you're using), and found it to do 300-400-dps only on yellow/orange trash.

I think someone should do a list of weapons better then epic and then put it on primary weapon maybe the devs will get a clue then haha.

Cal made a point in another thread about how amazing the weapon is... if it procs nearly as much as it should it's an insane amount of power.

The only weakness is for those people who don't have Dark Orb of the Mind. If you're running Plasma Wand, you're losing approx. 4-6% DPS or so by switching. Not sure how much of that you get back through the 4 Crit.

Also keep in mind that the range is excellent if you run STR line. I might try it out tomorrow night and see how my DPS is with it if I get it after downtime. (Granted, I need some other stuff to replace some of my power stuff to increase my DPS.)
