Thank you! I appreciate it. Which of the various routes to TC is the most ideal for solo/small grouping? I have the AGI tree completed through perpetuality, and was going to work on TC before going back to the INT tree.

My gut tells me the fast casting route is overkill since I already have the AGI tree complete. I don't have power troubles right now so I'm not sure if the power reduction makes sense either, though later I'm not sure if that'll be a problem or not (I'm lvl 32 right now). So....this leaves me thinking that entrance would probably be my best option.

Just curious if I'm thinking this through correctly. I'm still learning a lot of the details of the game; only about two weeks play time under my belt now, and am still learning a LOT of the details.

TC/IA/Illuminate (illuminate is the extra and most illusy's agree its the only other viable choice)

Enchanter line
Str/Agi/

Your final choice is if you spec Str or Sta, the STA line is great if you pull aggro alot when you raid or if your group tank isn't the best. Str is more of a Niche group but can be fun especially in groups.

Wis is and i repeat this WORTHLESS, if your mezes dont stick your doing something wrong.


Dont worry your only 32 your aa's dont matter nearly as much until you hit 70-80 and start to raid/group in higher areas. Just get them in whatever order you want and remember quest quest quest, you should have 140 AA around 70 or so.

thanks, I appreciate the heads up. So you're suggesting str in place of int in the enchanter line? Everything I've seen has suggested int instead (not a challenge, just curious why the descrepency). Also, what is the best path to get to TC/IA (which part at the beginning of the tree should I pick and path down to get to TC/IA?)

IA: Entire tree, whatever works for you but look at maxing all of them eventually. I'd say for the first 20 go with Cure Arcane (1), Mana regen (5), Prismatic (5), Dynamism (5) and Sentiment (4)
TC: All at (5) except (0) on Sadness.

As for the chanter lines I'd go with agi/int first. Look at speccing Agi: 4-4-8-6-2 and Int: 6-4-4-8-2.

After that you can choose between Sta: 4-4-X-X or Illuminate in the Illusionist tree. That or go with Illuminate first and then Str: 4-4-X-8. Wether you want to put some extra points on Chronology in the agi line is up to you.

For Illuminate you should be getting (5) in all three mezzes and the root. The stifle isn't important.

No i am not saying go str instead of int, i am saying go agi/int/str or sta (either one of these, you can go 3 lines instead of 2 lines)


The "extra" resists are worthless, you should be almost capped out or at least have plenty of resists in a raid on resists without the extra few hundered you get from the wis line. And resists in a heroic zone are pretty much worthless.

Why would you need faster recast on your mezes? they never get resisted and you have 3 of them that last a decent amount of time, just how much stuff do you have to mez? p.s. if your a raider there is no point in uping your mez recast, if your a grouper then you need to find better groups if you want faster mez recast
