No, he's wrong on both parts. Illusionist > Coercer in DPS on any mob.

are you kidding!? LMAO. Coercer will PWN even wizards on caster mobs. the spell does this: 430% of the targets power consumed will be drained from the targets health ( thats at ad3) and then we have a 5 trigger encounter reactive that every time the target casts a spell 1300 HP are drained from his health.

Cataclysmic mind got a little better with ROK, but it's still nothing compared to an illusionist lineup. Illusionists are parsing 3-4k in raid now, I have yet to see a coercer do that at all, yet alone routinely.

If an illusionist gets outparsed by a coercer they might aswell /quit and never come back.

Ive read the thread and i think there is one little difference in illu and coercers mezzes.
illusionist can use both single mezzes while running and coercer can mezz while he is mezzed.

Some mobs are tougher to illu cos they are mezzing you. (e.g. 3 shadowmens in Nek3 or wisps in Unrest)

And to the coercers DPS: One of our dps specced coercer was in mage group. I buffed him crossraid Tandem, he had troub and wizzy in group and he owned all but wizzy and assassin with dps about 3,5-3,8k on single mobs. There must be something wrong with my spell order or sommit, because im hitting that high with pet in that group.

wow. ignoramus's seem to be on the prowl today. once again. before making an accusation about another class, know what they have. for the record. ZW's should be higher for the Illusionists. but on the limited amount of encounters in which the target is a caster mob the coercer will out parse an illy. Sorry guys. =) . O and, get your head out of your asses.

No, they will not. Get your head out of your ass and learn game mechanics. A Caster mob doesn't cast many spells nor does it use very much power. Thus you will still get beaten by an Illusionist, period. But please, show me the parse of you doing 5k on a "Caster" mob, and I'll show you a parse of me doing 6k on that same mob.
