Bloodthirsty Choker

Got mine a few days ago and tested it a bit. With all the RoK groupheal-procs it is no problem for the healer to keep u up. (first time i used it in a pickupgroup with only a non-raidgeared lvl 78 warden

) Grouphot is enough for chokers lifeleech and even wards will do (please correct me if i´m wrong with the ward).

But there is something that confuses me. I always thought the +10% damageincrease from the choker counts as BoE like winewrapped boots. The german translation of the proc description is nearly the same as on wwb and robe of ancient terrors and not like wocp or dark orb. So i tested it and pushed myself up to ~1000 BoE. So i can be sure there is no damage increase when i switch in a BoE-proc like winewrapped boots. I switched in the boots - no increase. I switched in the choker - damage increase !? woot?

So here are my questions:
Does the choker really increase our basedamage??
Does it stack with wand of crys. plasma?
Does wards really prevents the chokers damage?

well - it seems like. unbelievable

I used it in Veeshans Peak yesterday and was parsing up to 3,5k on third floors trash. Never hit that high before. (never had avatar gear and no T8 raidgear atm).

Wards do get eaten by it, however it is not as easy as you think if you chain-cast while using it. My HP dips down into the red a lot while using it. It's really easy to kill yourself while using it, there are many fights where you will be unable to use it as well.

It counts as a base 10% to CAs and Spells, it is not BoE anymore, and it stacks with any base damage proc because it isn't a proc so it's allowed to stack.

Last named in SoF. Pinski is correct, it's easy to get into a nice casting chain and find yourself lacking health.
