Illusionist Epic Walkthrough
Pre-Requisites:
Make sure you have the Half-Elf, Human, Barbarian, Dwarf, and Gnoll Illusion Spells, otherwise you will not be able to get the quest. Also the Stout Language and Sathiarian Languages are required. In addition, please make sure you have done "A Missing Mask", and "The Stein of Maggok: It Can Be Rebuilt..." Heritage Quests and have the items on your person.
Pre-Quest Step:
The first step is to go to Western or Eastern Pens of Rillis and kill Rillis Slavers to get
\aITEM -1976754776 -2025272556:a pens cell door key\/a. This is a body drop that will allow you to start the quest. With this key, open the door to Tofus Jepner's Cell at the Western Pens of Rillis(-693, -127, 684), and then let him walk out of the cell, until he is outside. Once he is outside of the cell, hail him and you will be greeted with this dialog:
You say, "Hail, Tofus Jepner"
Tofus Jepner says to you, "That was a close one! They were going to force me to work in the mines! I don't want to even think about the food they serve to slave miners. Thanks for the help!"
You say to Tofus Jepner, "You are welcome."
Tofus Jepner says to you, "Hey! Aren't you a famous illusionist? Yeah, you are Calaglin the Majestical!"
You say to Tofus Jepner, "The Majestical?"
Tofus Jepner says to you, "Yeah, your adventures are well known to those of us that love illusions! Can you change yourself into a half-elf illusion?!"

Tofus Jepner says to you, "To see all the new sights of course! Well... that was until my bard guide ran off at the first sign of slavers. He doesn't have much of a backbone, or sense for that matter, but he did have great stories and songs about illusions! You should really seek him out if you like illusions!"
You say to Tofus Jepner, "I think I shall. What is his name?"
Tofus Jepner says to you, "His name is Tabbin Juniper. Last I saw him he was hightailing it west back to the docks like there was a chokie nipping his backside!"
You say to Tofus Jepner, "Thank you for the information."
Tofus Jepner says to you, "No, thank you for the rescue! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a rumblin' tummy to quiet. Goodbye!"
You say to Tofus Jepner, "Bye Tofus!"
At this point, you will be offered the quest "The Mask of the Maiden".
Quest Step 1:
Our goal here is to find Tabbin Juniper, who was last seen by Tofus headed west from the Western Pens of Rillis and towards the docks, and he had a "chokie" chasing him. Tabbin can be found in Kylong Plains in the North-Western area of the central map(254, 152, -1223). If you are having troubles finding him, there is an easy way to find him. Head to Teren's Grasp, and have a Guard search for him and you will be given a waypoint to his location. Once you find him, you will be greeted with this dialog:
You say, "Hail, Tabbin Juniper"
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Oh dear, oh dear... Why do I always get into situations like this?"
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "Are you Tabbin Juniper?"
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Aye, tis I, Tabbin Juniper, traveling minstrel extraordinaire! Are you here to deliver me a love letter from some beautiful secret admirer?!"
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "No, I'm afraid not."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "A spectacular endowment of riches from the queen perhaps?!"
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "Sorry, no."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Oh... of course! You want to apprentice yourself to me so that my renowned oratory skills and lyrical talents will rub off on you!"
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "Um... not that either."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Oh... then it must be that --!"
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "Tofus Jepner told me you had stories about great illusions."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Ah... well you mustn't interrupt me like that. It is quite rude. Now Tofus you say? He was that little stout fellow, was he not? "
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "Yes. The one you left to the slavers..."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Oh, well, um... anyways... Yes, I have a fabulous song about illusions! ...But I lost my instruments."
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "How did you do that?"
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Well, I thought that dreary castle around the way could use some pepping up, so I strolled in ready to serenade the lovely queen inside and brighten the place. Only the place didn't have a queen, and what they did have wasn't very lovely..."
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "So you turned tail and ran, forgetting your things in the process."
Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Precisely. So if you would be so kind to get my drum, mandolin, and performing mask back, I would be happy to share with you the songs of illusion I know."
You say to Tabbin Juniper, "I see. Well, I'll consider the option."
You have now completed the first step of the Quest.
Quest Step 2:
Our goal here is to find Tabbin's instruments. All 3 of which can be found in Karnor's Castle. The first piece you will more than likely find is
\aITEM 1345516245 -1776847332:Tabbin's Performing Mask\/a, which can be found to drop off any "a drolvarg sentry" as a chest drop. The next item to find is
\aITEM 543654613 -1700243134:Tabbin's Mandolin\/a, which drops off of "an iksar entertainer," whom can be find in The Mess Hall area of Karnor's Castle and has roughly a 5-minute respawn.(-143, -55, 180). The final item to find is
\aITEM -1419615433 107023940:Tabbin's Drum\/a, which can be found in Commander's Quarters inside of a chest(-189, -41, 53) that you must click only once, and then click on the Painting(-189, -41, -89) across the way from the chest which will cast an Illusion on yourself and transform you into the Commander. After this, click on the Chest again, and you will be able to loot the Drum.
Now we must return to Tabbin Juniper again, who now greets us with this dialog:

Tabbin Juniper says to you, "A story, I have a story about illusions! The Maiden of the Mask in fact. Right here, in this... book?"

Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Uh... the pages are gone. All except the title page. Hmm, there is something written on the back of the page. "Note to self: pay tab at the fish sticks eatery or don't go back at all.""

Tabbin Juniper says to you, "Uh... I've been using the pages to write IOUs, but I have always intended to pay back all of my tabs!"

Tabbin Juniper says to you, "I don't want to leave you empty handed, so here, take the book... well, what is left of the book. I'm sure it will be a great story once you collect all of the pages!"

Quest Step 3:
Our goal now is to get all of the pages of the book, and the only clue we have to go on is that we have an IOU to pay the tab at the fish sticks eatery. The fish sticks eatery is Omen's Call in Fens of Narsath(209, -60, 274). Inside there Goldie Sams now offers us a quest that starts with this dialog:
You say, "Hail, Goldie Sams"
Goldie Sams says to you, "Welcome to Omen's Call "where the fish is so fresh Prexus hasn't noticed them missing yet". What can I get you?"
You say to Goldie Sams, "Actually, I am looking for a page to this book. It might have an IOU written on it."
Goldie Sams says to you, "Yep, I have it right here."
You say to Goldie Sams, "Great, can I have it?"
Goldie Sams says to you, "Well, there is a little matter of an outstanding tab. Let's see... with interest... add in damages... the total comes to 185 platinum, and two copper."
You say to Goldie Sams, "185 platinum?!"
Goldie Sams says to you, "And two copper. Will that be in one lump sum or do you want to start payments?"
You say to Goldie Sams, "Uh, it's not even my tab. And how did it get to be that much?!"
Goldie Sams says to you, "I know it's not yours, but you want the page and it IS an IOU. The tab tends to get quite high if one keeps buying rounds and meals during one's performance... and then causes a riot when one of the patrons recognizes you as someone who was quite "friendly" with one's fiance'."
You say to Goldie Sams, "So Tabbin scribbled the note and split..."
Goldie Sams says to you, "Exactly. Now how do you wish to pay?"
You say to Goldie Sams, "I don't have that kind of money. How about a barter trade?"
Goldie Sams says to you, "We are running low on fish meat supplies. If you can bring me back a bunch of fishman meat, that might satisfy the tab."
You say to Goldie Sams, "Fishman meat? I thought you sold fish meat, you know, like the swimming kind?"
Goldie Sams says to you, "Can YOU tell the difference once it's battered? I didn't think so."
You say to Goldie Sams, "I see..."
Now we have a new sub-quest to complete to get the update which requires killing 100 fishmen. Of course, the best place to kill these fishmen is in Fens of Narsath at the Ruins(479, -107, 700). Once you have killed all 100 fishmen, you must now return to Goldie Sams and have this dialog with her:
You say, "Hail, Goldie Sams"
Goldie Sams says to you, "Welcome to Omen's Call where the fish... oh, it's you again. So do we have a trade yet for the page?"
You say to Goldie Sams, "I have a lot of fishman meat right here. Is this enough?"
Goldie Sams says to you, "A little light, but it'll do. This page must be worth a lot to you. Here you go. Oh, there is a note scribbled on the back of this page. It says, "Note to self: molotov cocktail is not a drink. Make sure to pay this tab because it'll probably come back to haunt me." What does he mean by that?"

You say to Goldie Sams, "I'm not sure, but I think I'm going to find out..."
The next step is to go into The Estate of Unrest and kill The Sadistic Bartender. I won't go into how to activate The Sadistic Bartender, as I'm certain most people already know how to activate him. Once you kill him, there will be a single body drop from him,
\aITEM 1770737470 1421115074:The Maiden of Masks - Page 3\/a, which will update your quest and you will be onto the next step.
The next step is to head into Kaladim, and go into the bar area near where the Queen spawns, and there will be a piece of paper on the table(-141, 44, -81). Examine this paper, but be prepared to fight. This will trigger a level 83 Triple-up "a Stormhammer Keep bouncer" which will spawn, say "You pay tab now wif broken bones!", and finally attack you. He is easily solo-able. Once you have killed him, examine the piece of paper again to get the update.
Now we must head over to Kelethin. Go up into the city and head to the bar(201, 108, 337). Once there, you will need to speak to Jysolin Nerala and you will have this dialog with her:
You say, "Hail, Jysolin Nerala"
Jysolin Nerala\/a says to you, "What'll you have?"
You say to Jysolin Nerala, "I'm actually here about a page of a book. The page probably has an IOU on it."
Jysolin Nerala\/a says to you, "Ah, so you are a friend of that bard then? Come to finally pay the tab?"
You say to Jysolin Nerala, "Not exactly, but I'd like to have the page."
Jysolin Nerala\/a says to you, "I'm sure you would, and I'd like to get paid."
You say to Jysolin Nerala, "Can I do an odd job or something in exchange to pay off the tab?"
Jysolin Nerala\/a says to you, "Well, we do seem to be running low on Blood Wine and we could use another cask. Get me one of those and I'll call it even."
You say to Jysolin Nerala, "Okay, and where would I get that?"
Jysolin Nerala\/a says to you, "There's only one place where you can get a regular supply of good Blood Wine. I'll let you figure that one out, hehe!"
You say to Jysolin Nerala, "Gee, thanks..."
So, now we need to get Blood Wine, before we start looking for it, I would advise you to bind your Stein here to make your return trip easier. Well, where else to get Blood Wine than Neriak. Once you head there, you need to go to the D'Morte Inn(173, 30, 198). Here you will find the Blood Wine that you will need to return to Jysolin Nerala with. It is a clicky harvest with no mobs, quests, or NPC to deal with.
Now return back to Kelethin, which is why I had you bind your Stein to Kelethin. Once you return, you will have this dialog with Jysolin Nerala:

This will trigger the event of spawning 2 encounters of 4 double-up Level 83 "a Golden Scepter guard". If you die to them, do not worry, they will stay up for a while, in which period you can kill them 1 encounter at a time. Once you have killed them, talk to Ahzeem the Bartermaster again and have this dialog:
You say, "Hail, Ahzeem the Bartermaster"

Now then, we need to find 3 books. Our first stop for the book is in North Freeport. Once we're in North Freeport, we must find the Lucan D'Lere statue(-151, -24, -57) and click it so that we can assume the form of Lucan D'Lere. Then head over to the Mage Building and ride the elevator to the top. There we will find Tome of Illusion Dispelling(-1, 7, -127) which when you try to take, you will be allowed to take it IF you are in the form of Lucan D'Lere:

Now we must head to South Qeynos for the second book. Once there, find the statue of Antonia Bayle(664, -21, 98), click it and you will assume the form of Antonia Bayle. Head into the Mage Tower and run into the Red Portal. Once there you will find the Book of Illusions(702, 48, 93) and you will be allowed to take it IF you are in the form of Antonia Bayle:

Finally, you need to find the third book. It is located in Charsis: Maiden's Chamber. The good news is, you can piggy-back onto an empty instance of it and retrieve the book without any issues provided they kill Drusella Sathir.
