Re: Diety Choice
actually Quellious is nice for that blessing which makes flash last longer (works on jcap too if trouby uses it
i used to use grp pwr regen miracle from time to time, but as was said, miracles are just a drop in the sea. they wont change result of the fight most of the time

Dude, deities aren't "dumb", and although people don't necessarily "need" blessings and miracles, there are some awesome ones out there that are a nice addition to have handy. Are you telling me that just because somebody is already uber that they wouldn't still enjoy benefitting from throwing a nice dmg increase miracle for a tough named fight (especially for raids)?
It's not a crutch man, it's a perk.

I disagree, I think people that need miracles are the people that care enough to go the extra mile. Same with the people that "Need" 4% crit pots and "Need" temporary adornments. These players are the cut above the rest.

Exactly. It's just as comparable to every spell upgrade we get and every piece of new gear we get that has some kind of effect.
Heck... yes, you could say that an 80 guard that has no fabled gear, no upgraded spells to adept III, and no adornments or special type of armor or weapons is a hoss because he tanked a raid mob with his guild... but really we'd just say that his guild is that good and he's a moron.

Re: Diety Choice
I'm with some of the other posters about going Quellious. I picked it mostly because I was new, and still am really. I'm not to endgame content yet being a new EQ 2 player...my illusionist is only level 63 right now. Anyway, I have only done the first couple parts of the Quellious line, so I think I can still switch without any problems. I thought Sol Ro was an evil diety. I take it that this doesn't matter?
Hope I don't get flamed for the newb question. I'm still learning...hell, a lot of the DPS maximization discussions are greek to me still lol. I'm sure it'll make a lot more sense once I hit end game content in the next few weeks.
And regarding dieties being useful...maybe it's because I'm all about maximizing where I can, but why wouldn't you at the very least appreciate the options/benefits dieties provide??

Re: Diety Choice
^^^NVM, I found the info at wiki. Solusek Ro is neutral, which can be used by anyone. Still learning...
How many of you experienced players use the blessings, even if only for "fun" or "because I can" purposes?

Re: Diety Choice
Getting back from -50k faction just costs too much.
Quellious isn't a bad deity cloak for soloing. it doesn't proc that much, but the extra daze can help you spam mobs to death a little safer.

Re: Diety Choice
OK...I guess I'll stick with it for now, if only to be different lol. The pet looks cool, and if I can get some use out of it then that's cool. It seems like the only time the dieties will be beneficial is when they're actually available in-game for the buffs.
Has this even happened yet? Everyone I've talked to doesn't recall a period when their deity was available, or even when anyone elses deity was available, for those buffs.
