illys who refuse to drop group buffs in raid

so what the fuck is their problem? 90% of the time they are grouped with a wizzy so the int buff and the power buff dont stack, and resists and wis dont mean crap over an extra 2 haste or tandem. i have been continually running into illys who insist there is no way their group buffs could be in any way less useful than an extra single target buff. and no they dont have mythical epics. since i rolled my illu i dont think i have cast a single group buff since i got tandem line and my pet. you would think the difference is obvious but no, time and time again i get called an idiot for thinking their group buffs arent useful. any comment illy community? /rant off

Guess so. Only grp buff worth casting is regen. If you are in mage grp I would have thought putting tandem on a mage or haste on the troub would be more useful. But I guess you never know, those extra points of wis/resists may save your life one day

Pretty much sums it up, these are the onyl 2 spells i didnt even bother upgrading to t8 adept 3's as i never used them, although now with my pet not takeing con i have nothign else to use but meh, they are pretty shit in any raid/grp setting

just for the record my guilds illys arent this stupid. i do a LOT of pickup raids tho on alts, and since my current super alt is a wizard, guess who im stuck with =)

kk, newb illy here (so I haven't done any raids), but in group I usually have two concentration slots for group buffs and I pass out the other three according to what classes I have in group. I'm supposing this is fine when in group since you have less classes to work with? Or should I just drop for instance, the power regen if I'm grouped with a wizzy?

Power Regen and Power Buff are 2 different things. Power Buff in general is pretty useless unless you need the resists... but in lower tier stuff you don't, nor do you really in higher tier stuff either. Power Regen is no conc and should never be taken off.

I don't raid much, but when I'm in raids, I'm usually grouped with melee dps. Because I can't haste them cross group. I leave the INT buff up because I need it to increase my own dps, and it'll help damage on the scout's poisons, too. The mental resist buff is close to useless, though. I can't think of a time where I though, "gee, I'm glad I have that". I only have it up when I'm duoing with a melee class, so no pet, and I have a free slot. I think it MIGHT be better than haste on myself.
