I am working on an illusionist that will solo most of the time during the grind to 80. Since AA's are currently limited, I am trying to get an idea of an order I should get the AA's in first (i.e. which ones are going to be most beneficial to get right away), since I don't have a ton to use atm. Keep in mind this is for dps/solo purposes.

Agi/TC/IA/Illuminate/INT/STR or STA, whichever you prefer.

I'd say:

AGI first - get perp.
TC line then, good DPS upgrades in that one - get TC for your pet.
Next is debatable - since you'll be soloing and probably not in melee combat, IA and the improved Prismatic isn't going to do much for you.

So I'd probably do INT line until VM, and then IA after that.

But definately go AGI line first (4-4-8-6-2).

IA not needed for solo aswell as Volatile magic (int line spec). Soloing under 30 on low level i cant recommend.

Wis for subj (might use short charm too)

Illumination and TC from eof tree. faster pet cast prooves handy soloing too. even set on ranged, its sometimes pretty dumb.

i have a Nub Question...ive noticed throughout all of the AA posts most people say not to bother with placing any AAs in Abolish Hope. Why?

because you get more damage having it recast than you do for it to expire, the duration is way too long

^^^I agree completely. Agi/TC/Int/IA/Filler (str or sta) Unless you're grouping with a group of people on a set schedule, where you know you'll be in a group most of the time, you're going to want to be able to handle mobs on your own. I could even make the case that the focus on DPS is more useful to groups at the lower (less than 60) levels anyway.



Regarding the question on how many times this question is going to be asked, I'm going to ask another question.

Why hasn't this information been stickied???

A thread with AA suggestions for leveling/soloing vs. raiding vs. alternate builds would be good information to have available, and consolidating all of the discussion to one post would make it easy to update the AA builds as patches influence the class.
