Default Quick Epic Control Spell / Power Question

Last night during a guild discussion, it came up that enchanters should be using "Interrupts" to prevent certain raid mob actions. As far as I know, only Stuns and Daze (on rare occasions, Stifles) have any impact on Epic mobs provided they are being timed with Immunities.

So is there any instance were Coercer or Illusionist Interrupts would work on an Epic mob?

Also, on Venril Sathir we had a couple strange wipes were like 10 adds popped at the same time and the whole raid was hovering around 45% power. Someone claims that enchanters using Mana Shroud was the cause of this. Any way Mana Shroud, my Fabled Epic, or the Nathsar belt are able to cause such a thing from happening?

Interrupts are worthless against raid mobs. Against some solo and heroics (and other players), they occasionally have some use.

We've seen the 10 add thing before, but its only happened once and it was too funny to investigate.

The adds pop with too little power, power regen stuff would cause everyone to get smitten. If that happened first, that would be a different story.

More than likely the 10 adds are just an occasional bug with the script.

I've seen that happen with Fatalisis I think. Or maybe it was forgetting to use the cube. Either way something happened that caused a mass of people to get power drained at once which caused a ton of adds.

Theres very little an enchanter can do to screw people up that badly on this encounter if they are watching their power. Do your job and tell everyone else its their job to keep their own power in range, and if they have too much, then thats a better place to be than having too little (just toggle sprint on/off).

This isn't quite true,

a) you shouldn't be using group power procs on this mob EVER, take your fabled epic off, first off it sucks dick get a better weapon secondly the power procs screw up other people trying to hover
b) VS DOES have a reflect just like alot of ROk raid mobs, it is forseable that if you hit him with your gropu power regen and it reflected to your group you could easily get a ton of adds from VS

I've never seen anything that I could have done short of screw up my own power or needlessly feed someone or something to that effect.

Illu epic causes no problems at all on this fight for people that aren't useless.

I use the epic on that fight most times, our fury and troub like it; WCP isn't that great on that fight since you're feared half the time. I also use Mana Tap on Venril for the fury too..again, no problems. Reflects are like rolling dice, sometimes you get screwed. Figure this stuff out for yourself, don't take what you read or hear as the truth.

Heh yeah. I use epic on this fight and no one ever has a problem with it. My group members are smart enough to watch their power and if it goes too high a quick sprint toggle will fix it. Not that it even becomes an issue, it really doesn't proc very much when you are using only DD type spells to avoid getting feared all over (and getting feared constantly anyway).

I've also had manatap reflect on my group a few times and it is not a problem. I just cure it off them myself. Its reflected at a lower level anyway so its really very minor.

Interrupts aren't worthless on epics you just can't see if actually interrupted a spell or not. But in encounters like the viswins in mmis interrupts really come in handy when they are casting that long casting time aoe at the end.

Most epics don't have casting timers, and I never saw a viswin get interrupted by a plan old interrupt before.
