A good troub will add an easy 1000dps, more to higher dps classes. Jester's Cap, Precision, Dissonant Note, +casting (helps more on 85+ mobs) all add up. Precision and Dissonant I think are like 20% of my zonewide usually, possibly more. Get a wizard, their ice proc is another 7-10% of my ZW too, may be the few times we have 2 wizards in the troub group if we have a troub missing though.

I do beam every other spell for the most part but Macroing Prismatic is a good idea and make sure you put it on a melee class with a super fast auto attack. I am an MT group Illy so I only get to Parse on throw back raids doing T7 content or lower.

Also if you do get a chance turn on your own auto attack and step into the battle. PR isnt the best place to do this but their are instances like Thuuga on the widow that you can really boost your dps with melee.

Until you get your casting order down, a spam mentality and setup macros it will be tough to get over 2500 even with a trouby. Practice makes perfect. FYI don't even try the below 30% AA unless you have a good set of power proc gear.

p.s. use sprint to get your power down fast. also note if not in combat you must move around for sprint to take you power down effectively. Make sure to turn sprint off when you get to 30% power.

You lose dps by meleeing in Thuuga.

I could easily get 2.5k with casting 2 spells with a Troubador, if not more.

How exactly are you loosing dps on widow in Thuuga? We are not talking about trash where the stuns and fears will disrupt any of your efforts. We are talking about the namer.
There are some mobs where if you go on melee your dps will suffer. There actually is a lot of mobs where you can melee absolutely safe (except dumb errors like meleeing in front of the mob ofc). Randomly i can take most of the trash in VP, CoD trash, Temple of KorSha almost everything. Should i continue? No need imo.
Just as a sidenote: You dont have to use those melee abilities we get but imo additional 1k mental debuff will boost my dps when used in good order with other abilities and all other mental based casters will benefit of it too.

However what is Isodali talking about good set of proc items? With your epic and any other power proc youre safe on pwr. Even if your healer uses the belt from Chardok blue collection with your epic youre ok with pwr. Stop slacking and get them.

Widow has the same stun as the trash spiders.

The only power proc item I have is the Necromantic orb and I have no problem with power.

Definatly the same one? as it seems shorter and doesn't go off as often.

I've always gone into melee for Thuuga, but stay ranged for trash.

Staying under 30% power is really not hard and I don't recall it ever being difficult (I've only been playing this toon properly for a year).

It used to be easier to stay low between fights by just enabling auto attack but since removal all you have to do is turn sprint on and off more often when you go too high. You don't have to move or jump to do this, just get it down from the start and keep it there.

Pay attention to how much power you consume versus how much regen and procs you have in your group. If you need it flow yourself on pull and/or time savante correctly, use Extract Mana and your clickies.

There is a bunch of information on these boards already. Have a good read through. It helped me a lot when I started (Thanks btw).
