Why do people want everyone to spoon feed them? little things like recovery > cast time people might not notice, but having people tell you each piece of gear/aa/casting order isn't playing the class, it's having someone else play it for you.
That being said, I've always answered any questions people have asked me in game, but these threads get to be a bit much

Hmm so asking for advice on how to play the Illusionist class effectively and better rather then just mashing buttons like a 2 year old with building blocks is being spoon fed? Didn't know that. Sorry if me being new to the class and asking for help is an inconvience.
Thank you Daillon for your kind response, much appreciated

From my standpoint, I hate to see posts like this filled up with flames that consume much more of my bandwidth than the original post did. If no one wants to post a guide, then the thread can fall off the front page. If someone does, then I'll read it and more power to OP.

Re: Illusionist Reference Thread
I think the problem is the OP's question is a bit too broad, it does beg the response lrn2ply.
Is there any advice in particular you are looking for? I cannot think of anything that isn't already covered ad nauseam in this forum but I don't think anyone here would object to going over old ground if we knew what sort of thing you're after.

Re: Illusionist Reference Thread
What I was looking for was help with spell casting order, Yeah I've played my illusionist up to lvl 29 atm but don't wanna get to the cap lvl 80 and not be able to parse the amount I'm supposed too, buff the right class with certain buffs, when to cast temp buffs, etc. I would like to be somewhat known as a great Illusionist instead of one of those who just managed to lvl up to the cap lvl 80 and not play the class to the full potential.
But if it bothers Pinski so fucking much, then delete this thread. Would wanna upset him..

Asking questions is great, it's something I really do all the time. But asking to be told how to do something without trying on your own is just plain lazy.
If the OP asked a specific question about how something works or was discussing a comparison of two things then everyone would be more than glad to help.
but "how do i play illusionist" is stupid. There's AA threads all over, there's a casting thread, and there's a gear thread.

If you understand game mechanics you should know when to use each of these spells.
IA- 25% double attack..wonder if that goes on a mage?
Tandem- proc on hostile spell (HM!)
Savante- makes you use 50% less power- maybe you should use this when you know your group is goign to have power issues.
Flash of brilliance- 75 to casting, what does + to skills do (no wisecracks !)?
etc,etc,etc
Honestly there are no mysterious spells in our class, use them when you need to.

Ok I got a question for you. What AA have you got? I maxed Agi so I don't have to choose between recov and casting in AA. Have you got something else that works better and don't bother putting max aa on casting and recov? Or do you mean what is best at lower levels before you get enough AA?

This has been answered many times. Do some leg work and find the answer.

Well couldn't find anything unless you mean all those go str or sta threads. I don't really feel like going in melee so guess I will stick with heal crit and max casting and recov. I just don't see anything else worth getting, unless you want more of any stats for some reason. The deaggro is so low/point I just don't think its worth it. And I never have aggro problems anyway except on heroic stuff in pug. But who cares about that. The only other thing is getting more mental debuff, but again its melee.
