You know. A much better approach would of been to just make a reference thread instead of making a post about making a reference thread post.
see, when you say it out loud it sounds retarded.
just fucking make a reference thread that links to posts of value if you want a fucking reference thread.
I would give it a 90% chance that pinski and others would of been a lot more receptive to that then a post asking someone else to make a thread.
I am sure he would of stickied it for you to even. Why? because hey someone 'ELSE' put in the effort to make it and it cost him nothing.

So, what you are suggesting is, a person who came here looking for help, and hoping for a reference thread, was much better off MAKING THE THREAD THEMSELVES?!? Now, I don't want to put words in your mouth...is this what you are saying? You want a person who possibly might not know much about the class, to make a reference thread, as opposed to people here who I presume think they know something about it.
I'm not sure I follow the logic of that. Seems like a better plan would be to admit you didn't know nearly as much as others, and admit you could possibly learn something from the people here...which...oddly enough..is what happened.
Now....again...let's be for real. Let's assume the OP made a reference thread, and linked whatever they chose, wisely, poorly, whatever. I have a small suspicion that no matter WHAT they linked, it would have been greeted with a "Who the hell are you to dictate what is determined to be a suitable reference here?!?" Perhaps not, I could be wrong.

Re: Illusionist Reference Thread
Anyone can cut and past info...if you are 80 and don't know your class, it's your fault, not the community's. There are these things called consultants IRL, and they make a shitload of money for doing nothing but offering advice based on their experience.

No one came here asking for help, this person came here and did just what I said, made a post about making a post. Asking for a reference thread to be made instead of just making one themselves.
Maybe you should of checked before trying to put words in my mouth?

How, pray tell, would I check? Would I perhaps, maybe, ask if that is what you were saying? How would you word a question like that, I wonder....maybe, like, sortof....
Now, I don't want to put words in your mouth...is this what you are saying?
Would that be how you would go about asking, or different?
However, I hope the OP does exactly what you propose, personally, laugh.

You know, you are probably right. A person asking for advice here in the Illusionist forums is pretty silly, clearly they don't know their class. I mean, next thing you know...people will be asking questions like...

Could you elaborate a bit on this? I'm still trying to work out some gear selections in t8.

I don't know who wrote these questions in the Illusionist forums, but I think you'll agree there Slips that dude should be tarred and feathered for having the unmitigated gall for asking for advice in the Illusionist forums!!

Re: Illusionist Reference Thread
There's a difference in asking for a complete write-up on a class and asking where to put your last 5 AA's
No one takes split personality over illuminate.
eq2i.com, xanadu, eq2links...etc
The point is, USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. Not to mention it can be hours before someone answers your question, vs 10 seconds to browse through the threads for possible answers to a question you may have. This is the electronic age, we don't have to wait for someone to give us an answer, we go out and find it ourselves on the internet in a fraction of the time. You don't have to look in a dictionary for a definition anymore, you type it in google and you get 400 pages of sites begging for a click.
