So will power drains still drain power or just do straight damage? It'd be a shame to see the power drain go away, I love it in PvP.

Considering the cast time vs. Amount of Power Drained, they are useless to cast if they are converted 1 to 1 as damage.

Well, maybe after adding +spell damage the stun might be usable once and a while as a substitution of recasting pessimism, but by and large people who think they're making up for VM really need to get their math straight :|

Do you think the damage component will trigger through an immunity? IIRC you don't get a perp. trigger off of a cc effect if the immunity is up, right?

No, you do. Power Drain portion still lands.

However, I'd like to see why people think that it's only going to be a 1:1, because if they want to make up for it, it's got to be a 1 power drain: 2 damage ratio, otherwise it's a total waste of casting, and not ever worth casting ever over a recast of pessimism.

What about mez? Sometimes I spam regalia for a quick cast proc on POM+Frigid gift, but I'll notice my perp. run out. This could be caused by the horrible lag, but I don't think so.
