LU 45 has some enchanter changes

Volatile Magic - This will change for all enchanters. The spell does not play well since I see many of the enchanters just spamming sprint to stay under 30% power. That really wasn't the intention of the skill at all. Instead it will be a reduced amount that applies regardless of your current power amount.

Power drains - To compensate some for the reduction to Volatile Magic, both enchanter subclasses will be getting their power drains turned into damage. In their current state these are more useful for their control effects rather than the actual power drains. After the changes the spells should be a bit more useful.

This is being made in addition to the Coercer changes. Looks like VM is taking a hit. I would assume at least half of what it is now. But we may get a little back if power drains get changed to decent enough DPS spells.

I'd bet 10-15% range. And honestly, meh. Power Drains becoming damage are sweet though. Glad I bought my Masters :P

We'll still be competitive for dps. I'm excited to see how they make the power drains into damage, similar to sorcerer stuns. Does this mean Things like Manatap will proc damage and a power regen, or would this be different?

changing power drains to dmg spells is cool considering power drains are all but useless. but its hard for me to believe that these added dmg spells are going to off set the over all dps we will loose with the Volitile magic nerf. Unless they give these spells some major dmg and not just 500dmg a pop. i guess we will just have to wait and see

If they are converting the power drains directly into hp damage, you're not going to be noticing much of a difference in dps at all.

Seems like the care bear approach to nerf VM hurts the ones who can actually play their toon and stay under 30% for an entire fight. But hey the people who cant play their toons very well will get more dps!!

can we like, take the other 6 threads about the exact same thing and merge them. I realise spending the 5 seconds to look at a thread and see oh man soemone already posted that is difficult, but i guess thats why we have forum mods.
