To clarify, I have played WoW for a bit and there you can downrank the same spell, figured it was worth asking if there was a way to downrank a spell here.

I guess the downrank in WoW would be equiv to just a lower rank (though different name) version of the same line here.

It was early when I was looking at this, so yeah I'm gonna use that excuse.

That's because in WOW you get like 20 spell names and just upgrade the spell to the next tier...in this game you have spell names for new tiers as well as scribed quality. Don't try to relate the two games.

It's not anything with being an illusionist, but you're right that this particular forum has become nothing but trash. Around here there's always somebody just waiting to call you an idiot for asking a question as if you're so stupid for wasting their time yet they have all the time in the world to sit around writing "use the search moron hur hur" posts.

that's because people are fucking lazy and won't search for questions that have been answered ad nauseum. the illusionist forums has a ton of great information up to and including the entire fucking casting order a lot high-end people use. i was helping a friend with their illusionist the other day, came here, searched for what i wanted and found it. it isnt that hard. cry harder about being lazy and dumb

I'm sorry that you aren't willing to better your character via the Search function. Do you understand what RTFM stands for? If not, I advise you figure it out, because this should apply to everything. If you don't show yourself willing to help yourself by searching FIRST, then asking questions, well then you really don't deserve anybody else's help. It's like all these people who cry that they're broke because they don't have a job, yet won't go to McDonalds, Burger King, or any cheap place and get a god damn job so they have money. They cry they cannot be helped, well yah because they won't help their-self.

You know, if you were an absolute beast at the search function, and you looked for casting order help....I'm thinking you'd come out with bad information 90% of the time.

Consider that thread you guys are mentioning has helpful cast orders. Is that thread right? Do any of you use that cast order anymore? And...knowing that....has anyone made a post in that thread saying...oh...btw....disregard.

Just saying.

Just use the Coercer forum like everyone else and fill in the gaps with that brain thing (some of) you have.

Calaglin has actually posted a good cast order very recently.

I agree a FAQ along the line of Revels would be awesome. However I am intelligent enough to realise that all I am doing is asking for someone else to do the work for me and that frankly it's taking the fucking piss to whine about it if the information isn't immediately available.
