not sure what im missing

ive played an illu as my main since about 3 months after launch(230 days played), i had to build a new computer to be able to play or i would have started earlier.

but anyway i'm decently geared, got some t1 items, and some domani gear. the only dps spells i dont have master 1 yet are brainclot and shower, im only missing 7 in total and those are ad3.

im aa speced str/agi/int tc/ia/illuminate.

ive read and reread every post in this forum about how to parse better as an illu, what to precast, ive tried 3 or 4 different casting orders on the training wall in kj, i know im not getting the buffs i would in a raid, not am i using any potions etc on the wall, but my max parse so far is 2.9k on the wall.

my highest zonewide in a raid was a pawbuster i hit 3k zonewide. my personal high for one fight is 4.9k but that was in ToNT after i was 80. my normal zw in t1 and t2 is around 2.5-2.8k

i know there are illu's parsing 4.5k on raids, and yes they have their mythicals and i dont, but a mythical doesnt give u 2k

i truthfully havent been able to find a really good casting orders for raid mobs, 2 of the ones i found imo are incomplete, i did find a decent one for heroics but its not so hot for epics. On a long fight wouldt u want to incorporate everything we can, not leaving any dps spells out? the best one i have found was in the MAX - DPS post from t7, even using that and precasting prismatic adornment im still not quite making 3k solo

im not sure what else i can do or if im missing some vital component somewhere.

any suggestions?

well i was just going to edit the previous post, but the edit button is gone, thought i was logged out but mabye i jsut edited it once and thats all i can do.

after a few more varaiations on the theme i have gotten my dps up to 3.1k solo against the wall. the average dps for 17 times is 2665, on fights just under 1 min between 44 and 58 sec

will see what it does later raid buffed. but i am still sure i can get more from somewhere, still questing for more dps lol

sometimes i bang my head against the wall because there are illusionists out there who can parse over 8k dps on vp mobs. I may be wrong but i believe this is before the shard of hate drops such as the proccing head, 2 proccing charms which would further add to their dps.

3.5k is about right without buffs. The biggest difference you might see at least for the raid parses is most raid illusionist are at 100% spell crit and max BoE, and we will usually have 2 or 3 troubs with mythicals so PoM is almost always up raid wide, especially if you have the mythical and your pet doesn't get eatin in the first 5 minutes of a fight. Set bonuses from VP gear make decent impact also. Add a wizard in your group and 5 and 6k parses are pretty normal. A huge portion of that is how well the other classes are doing their job, especially debuffing and short terms. I fricken Rays timed wrong at the end can kill a parse, especially if you have death chimes..... stupid wizards.....

im not quite at 100% crit lol, atm raid buffed im only at 73.

but i do have just over +700 spell damage so overything except lesion, stun,stifle,masterstrike, are max

still working on finding more spell crit items, they will come np, i did just recently get the cap from SoH, that proc alone has added 5% average to my dps

its funny now our stifle is our biggest dd nuke, well other than masterstrike
