Is it a lot easier to solo as a coercer or just a little bit?

Killing the heroics is about the same. Coercers are better in that it is so much easier getting to them in the first place with one.

charm/suicide makes soloing as a coercer stupidly easy in many situations when you have to work your way through trash... i play a coercer not an illy so i couldn't tell ya how they compare, just that coercers pwn solo...

Illusionists can kill solo much faster, but the charm-killing makes coercers overpowered in terms of soloing. Being able to clear your way to just about anything in the game by forcing mobs to kill each other is about as good as it gets!

Could you explain charm killing please.

Does this mean you take over a mob, send them in and and lot other mob beat em to death - mez attacked mob - grab another mob and continue?

In most zones I'd say it's a lot easier to solo as a coercer. It depends on pet availability.

With a crappy pet as a coercer I find myself wishing I was on my illy, but with a decent pet coercer wins hands down

and yeah, the charm-killing thing gets you to named quick

If Coercers kill so much faster why do folks even bother with Illy class?

the thing is currently our utility is a bit better than coercers as its better to have an illusionist in the other 3 groups except a mt group and even if your coercer is afk you can get a illu to do his job almost as fine.. they finally gave coercers a bone when giving them more dps and that was really also needed.

usually we get some utility to beat them anyways
