Based on what I quoted doing in raid, removing aria from the troub, and the majority of the prismatic procs, my best guess is that I would have been doing about what you are.

However people were saying they were doing 3.5-4k in raid, pre mythical with just instance gear - which would put them around the high 2k range solo against the wall - whereas I wasn't able to put up those kind of raid numbers until after I got some gear and masters.

Impulse having their mythical will increase the dps. Being able to put Tandem on both personal and pet while retaining Rapidity along with the chance to double attack on melee gives extra dps. Plus the extra INT buff Impulse can cast since he/she has the extra concentration slot. Hence the reason why it's so hard to do an apples to apples comparison with so many variables.

Brigandy, does your 2-2.3k include you having IA on yourself and TC on your pet? Others beating on the dummy may be doing that to partially compensate for the numbers lost to prismatic. So when you're comparing numbers make sure you consider as many factors as possible.

i.e. In this particular situation, hood of dark dealings (which procs on every attack) is one factor that will be different when comparing your numbers to Impulse's.

Actually no. I dont have my mythical yet and I was trying the wall without the pet because thats how I have to raid until I get my last update. So I only have Rapidty and Tandem on myself. I suppose I can try it with the pet to compare the numbers and cast Rapidity and Tandem on it as well.

Ok, so a huge part of my problem now that I seem to be able to keep perp up consistently is that I am simply not critting enough. 64% with pots/scroll and my high Beam M2 hit isn't touching 3k on a training wall with 900 int.

The proc on hood really isnt as much as it used to be. maybe 160dps on a dummy. as for the pet if you test just the pet with tandem and tc casting pom once over 2 min fight it only pulls 350ish dps. But yeah capped out int all my void bane stuff and a few other procs dose help. adding all the crap from gear and pet ide say its adding about 800-900 dps. add 5 procs of prismatic in there and thats about norm for raid dps without the added raid buffs. so keeping all of that in mind if your running 2 troubs and getting in a group with one even befor destructive rampage you should be at about 6k with a solid raid set up. then after you get the gear along with the raid force you be hitting 7-12k without much problem. So yeah your dps is on track for what you have right now.

My gear is decent. Not terrible, but I haven't gotten my four piece set of VP yet, and some of the things I'm wearing are really lacking ( like the cloak of the burning prince, I'm totally replacing that when I can play to-day ).
Recently I was in your situation, and even after my mythical and upgrade to Prismatic Adornment ( master I now ) I was having a hard time parsing more than 3.3k.
I guess last night was different or something, and I've been following the same attack pattern as Cerium told me a while back ( maybe it's been like 7 months now ). But I went up and actually attacked with my weapon and for some reason it did tons more damage. I tried to think if I had added any adornments, but the only one that I put on recently was for +100 health.
I suppose it was actually going up an attacking though, because I was hitting 4.6k-5.5k pretty consistently. Or maybe the mobs in Palace are just weak to magic. Though in VP I was also hitting that, a bit lower, but getting to 4.6k was a breeze when I got down to DPSing. Was nice to see myself on the parse again.
