Max Crushing?

Ok -- perhaps I've just never really thought enough about melee to know the answer to this, but do we have a limit on how high our 'crushing' skill can go? Or, do I misunderstand how this adornment works?

I've attached a screenshot. I'm sure it's a simple explanation, but I guess I've just never really known it.

+77 to crushing or any other offensive skill like disruption woulg make your attack harder to resist. If you on the other hand get an item like the one you just posted that says +77 vs crushing it makes your more likely to resist a crushing based attack.

That adornment is giving you physical mitigation, it's not changing your skills.

You skill can go to unlimited numbers, but its not efficient past 520.

Ah yes, 'vs' crushing, not 'crushing'. I've been a mage my whole life (EQ+EQ2) so never really looked at melee/mitigation stats very much; therefore I read it too quickly and missed those two letters (that, and it was 3:00 a.m. when I did it.)

So yea, pointless adornment. I have billions of transmutables and crafted it myself so it's not any loss ..lol.

They aren't pointless. If you're raiding in TSO tbh they are probably the choice for wrist adornments since there's no other easy way to get more mitigation as a mage.

That is a good thing about pvp servers. As a mage, you either know enough about melee, healing, tanking and everything else or dont play there

Yes they can. The savanna needs gazelle, after all. Predators need something to eat...
