question from a non-illy

Ok stupid question from a non-illy....I have a 80 fury that does 2300 on raid parse, the lvl 80 illy in my guild struggles to get 1k on the parse. Is there a reason I out DPS her other then her being a waste of a mage?

If a lvl 80 illusionist puts their dps spells onto hot bar one and bangs their head against the keyboard they will parse more than 1k, i tried it once and did 2k zw in vp but my gear is pretty good.

Pressing beam over and over should yield more than 1k.

They cannot play their class.

If you cast our main nuke (Beam) over and over again.. even at Adept 1 you should yield more then 1k DPS.

Hell..

Even using prismatic without VP set.. Should yield close to 1k ?

Hell I don't know what she is doing. Maybe trying to mezz the whole fight. Should the guild just tell her to stick to her warden (not to great at healing either). I'm confused at how she can't make it above 1k. I thought Illy's where uber and did like 6k average?

I do not know how far thru progression you are.

But honestly..
S/He needs to read how to play his/her classes apparently as you can guess by reading what people have written.

6k parses will depend on group/raid and equipment/spells of course.

Easy answer would be to run ACT during a raid then look at it after.

You can see what is being casted and go from there.

i was raiding the leviathan trash with my guild in our alt/main raid for mythicals (had roughly 12 alts) my first time raiding with nothing good in my my grp minus another illusionist who had rampage and pom and was parsing like 2.5k ish, casting beam and pris adornment should be atleast 1.5k id think and brainbust procs.
