Power at ~30%

Forgive the ignorance, first time playing an Illy alt.

What's the advantage of keeping power at ~30%? Is there a T8 item or ability that requires this?

Simple points in the right direction are appreciated...

This doesn't apply anymore. Keep power up as often as you can; power should never be a concern for you really.

Just to provide some history to what you're talking about, there used to be a DPS bonus when power was kept under 30%. However, SOE nerfed this for a reduced but static DPS bump.

Sweet. One less thing to worry about.

While I'm here, I've played w/ Illusionary Allies some and can't seem to find the appropriate time/situation for this. Other than the 'WTF' reaction from those who've never seen it before, it seems more a pain in the ass for the tank than anything.

It's an aggro grab. I wouldn't suggest using it.

The best use I've found for it is to control out-of-control aggro in a raid. It's highly situational, and get's pretty much zero use, but what I find to work is to cast Illusionary Allies to pull aggro onto me, followed up by phase. If the MT and their coercer is paying attention, then they can snap it back to the MT.

Most of the time though the raid is already fucked by the time I think of using it, and there are so many variables that can go wrong using it I try to refrain from using it (and would suggest the same).

Use in pvp maybe? working as a de-target?

I think i've managed to save most of the raid by holding out the full 15seconds for the memwipe effect to take place a total.. 2 times?

It would be really sweet if illusory allies didn't take away the fighter's hate too, but as it is now I only use it when soloing or in a heroic instance if the tank goes down to buy some time for the healer to get them back up.
