AA Mirror

Hey,
I was wondering if there is any reason for an illy to get an AA mirror? Only thing I can think of his maybe have one setup where you are just extreme utility. Which I guess would just be putting more into the Stamina line for the heal crit chance and hate decreases and maybe a few other things. Raiding wise we are just now getting into VP so I was wondering if there were certain situations where using a different setup might be more beneficial to the group/raid. (I'm using the Setup described in the Noobs Look Here thread as a general illy setup)

They're redoing hate <sarcasm> real soon now </sarcasm> -- whenever they finally release GU51, so any advice you get today may change.

In general, I wouldn't worry about hate buffs -- the DPS you give up (from the STR line) isn't worth a minimal, potential DPS gain for everyone else in your group. If someone in your group is consistently drawing aggro, I'd look at either improving the main tank and the main tank group or having one person back off before starting full DPS.

But a well-built raid group with skilled, well equipped tanks shouldn't have many problems holding aggro with the tank(s). If you're having problems maintaining aggro, it's likely part of the raid mechanic (memwipes, for example).

I run a utility spec for groups (8% hate reduction 16% heal crit), and on raids I run an all out dps spec. So I use a mirror very often. Even if not, you can spec to be melee, and spec not to be melee, with the use of a mirror.

yeah the only thing is to swap to deaggro but i gotta be honest... i dont have an aa mirror on my illu lol

i use my aa mirror solely for switching from Strength line i use in raids to Stamina line which is use solely for the 8% deaggro in groups which is some small attempt to keep my ass from dying however futile that is. I still think the hate our class builds is ridiculous, excessively... beyond that, an AA mirror is useless imo, and may still be considered so with how unproductive that 8% seems to be.

8 dehate is not going to help. i prefer that riposte chance from str line. i keep getting aggro if tank is that bad (badly buffed), but i sometimes avoid being hit thx to riposte or parry.

I have utility spec in mirror..

So when I run with a warden friend of mine to max heal crit up..
So he could drop an AA line.

But thats it.
