Hi,

Just wanted to get a little feedback (or flames

) from you guys on my parse (didn't want to post it in the TSO parse thread as it's kinda embarrassing compared to the parses in there).

About the gear - been away from the game for about 6 months. Before I left we hadn't made it to VP (were still on Levi at the time) and have only been back about 6 weeks, so I'm still working on getting my gear up to scratch (working on Dark Mail Gauntlets, TSO Chap 5 and running TSO instances atm).

AAs: 177 Points atm - All the usual suspects, Perp, VM, IA, TC, Illuminate, PoM plus anything in the shadow tree that helps damage. Have 5 in shocking rays and 2 in pet in TSO endline.

Spells: UV Beam M2, Prismatic, Pessimism, Gamma Storm and Chromatic Shower all M1, rest AD3.

In raids I'm running at 1200ish INT, 93% crit (with Troub + Adorns) and 562 BoE (used to be around 850 but has gone down as I've been picking up gear with more crit but less spell dmg). We're not a hardcore guild (only 2nd time in Palace) so raid roster is fairly fluid and rarely have the "ideal" group setup for an Illy.

And finally, the parse:
Palace Trash 1st room (removed 2 encounters where I died)
Brig, Troub (no UT

), Mystic, Conj, Necro
RDPS was 88k

So basically I'm just wondering given the gear, AAs, etc if I'm even parsing in the right ballpark or if there's anything obvious from the parse that I could do to improve my performance (apart from getting much better gear, that's a given

).

swap some aa's around and get the TSO endline abilities... then read the noob post a bit more, get some more gear and come back in a week or two and post a parse again

Wow thanks, had no idea you could do that. Just respecced and tested it on the training dummy - my dps went up by almost 1k! Will get a proper test raiding tomorrow night.

Well I think I'm doing everything that I should be - pre-casting PA (macroed to 2 different targets) and trying to have it up on 2 people as mob arrives, Flash+PoM while running in, meleeing the mob and following Pinski's spell priority order. Was just kinda curious if I was parsing where I should be or if anything on the parse looked out of whack to you guys.

Got 2 questions though...

I picked up the VP shoulders the other night to get the 2-set bonus. I'd been using the T2 shoulders up til then and I know they're higher up on the loot thread than the VP but I figured that the 2 extra procs on PA would be worth more than the base dmg but confirmation would be nice

. If/when I get another piece of VP, I presume I should switch the shoulders back in and then focus on trying to get TSO set pieces?

And when people say 115% crit is that unbuffed or with a troub + adorns?

its with everything..

also 2 set vp will give you more dps just make sure to get another piece than your shoulders next time you do vp so you can wear both your shoulders and the 2 set

my guess:
2 more triggers should (roughly) add 1k to your parse, 5% more to all (very basic) should be around 300, so until you get another VP set item (legs preferably) go with VP set.

115% crit is not hard to reach even unbuffed but even with TSO Boss mobs you won`t really need more than 115 buffed in group, if you are struggling already go with +spell instead

Aye, in tso, depending how much base damage modifiers you can get your hands on your spell damage should be 1000+. At least that's where i aim at.
