Default Crit Vs Proc's

Hi Guys i need a little advise jut to see if im heading in the right direction. What im looking for is a healthy balance between my various procs and my crit, spl mod, and reuse. of late i have been swapping everything out for procs and have seen a steady increase in my dps, its not great but im doing a steady 10k in palace with around 30% masters, but im very worried about my stats as iv droped from around 97% crit self buffed to 77% and my spel mod is a sorry 550, the main reason for this in my eyes is im missing some vital loot i have 3 parts of the TSo set no Vp loot and no hate loot. So i supose what im asking is ave i gone to far?

If you are not already, use VP 2 set (not tough to get) and TSO 4 set when you get it. Getting Prismatic Adornment boost is IMPORTANT.

Get your +spell to 700-800 bare minimum (don't forget 2 mental symbol, hand, and neck adorns, food, and mount)! As you increase base damage try to increase +spell.

Get your raid crit to at least 100% (110ish+ better but not much return after that) in raid (don't forget potion and temp adorn). Also remember procs are not nearly as good if they are not critting. A crit means no worries about the procs range, it will always crit max.

For the most part, worry about reuse after you have the basics out of the way.

Lastly, FFS we are a long ways past the level cap increase, get your gd masters already.

Look through gear threads and Noobs thread for other solid info.

thanks for the reply nicely done and what you have said has mad me swap my procs out for crit again, so im down to 2 greater void instead of 4 and i took off the funeral pyre belt from tombs crit back at 97% self buffed.
With regards to the vp prismatic i only have bracers and legs and my guild Dont do VP any more so i have to swap them 2 items out for t3 legs and tso bracers when raiding.
i will see how palace trash goes and see if this works better for DPS.
thanks

Once you get into the endgame equipment, you should aim for 1000+ spell damage (cause of all the base damage you'll have).

After that try to get your hand on crit bonus gear. Imo it's an underestimated stat. Procs are nice too ofcourse but not all of them are really worth it to loose other stats over. A few of them are, but i advice you to check out the gear of the endgame raiders to see what they are wearing. If you you're not in an hardcore raidguild, soh is your place with gear like the blackened band of devastion, the wicked wand of malice, death chimes, all leet gear that improves your dps by a fair amount! And it's all gear that only gets beaten by avatarloot or maybe some pieces from the new x4 zone(it has a magehat that beats the hat from soh and a nice cloak aswell, but all of this is further in the zone).

Yes, crit bonus is amazing, but again...don't let 2 crit bonus make you lose more important stats...Wand of Malic like Zormik said is incredibly good this expansion, most of the time it's over 500-600dps for me.
